Bethan is the creative offspring of Dallas, TX native, Jessi Hall. The project began as a studio collaboration with Roger Greenawalt (at Shabby Road Studios in Brooklyn, NY) that resulted in a first release, Chapter 1, a 7 track, minimalistic, melodrama with Jessi's vocals front and center.
After recording in New York, Jessi returned to Texas to assemble a 5 piece band which has since opened for bands like Tennis, Eisley, and Juliana Barwick. Bethan is made of up of Jessi Hall (Novaak), Daniel Hall (Fox & the Bird, The Beaten Sea, Comrade), Jesse Hopkins (Radiant, Sarah Jaffe, Comrade), Kevin Howard (The Blurries, The Crash That Took Me, Comrade) and Becki Howard (Sarah Jaffe, The Crash that Took Me).
Since playing together, the 5 musicians have created a new sound inspired by George Gershwin, Tom Waits, Serge Gainsbourg and their neighborhood of Oak Cliff.
Bethan will return to the studio this summer to begin recording a full length album at Redwood Studios in Denton, TX.
the debut self-titled album is out now!

Home By Hovercraft
Home By Hovercraft is a theatrically and classically influenced rock band led by husband and wife duo Seth Magill (vocals/ tuba) and Shawn Magill (piano/ vocals/ xylophone). Rounded out by Seth's sister Abbey Magill (step dance), Max Hartman (drums, also lead singer for Mur), Johnny Sequenzia (mandolin/ harmonica), and guest artist Becki Howard (violin, also of Sarah Jaffe, Bethan, The Crash That Took Me) they've been compared to indie bands with a classical/ folk twist like Beirut, The Dresden Dolls, The National, and Tilly And The Wall.
