MC Frontalot

MC Frontalot created the term "nerdcore hip-hop" in 2000 to describe his sad little enterprise. It has since grown into a worldwide phenomenon with hundreds of practitioners, various national and international touring artists, two feature documentaries, and blah blah blah. Know where would be a good place to look up information about Front and nerdcore? THE INTERNET. You're soaking in it!

Dr. Awkward

Dr. Awkward (Josh Watson) has been a Southern California recording artist since 2009. Doc was born and raised in San Diego, and because of this, much of his music is influenced by mainstream and underground West Coast Hip Hop.

In early 2009, Dr. Awkward released his first solo project "Next Gen," in which Doc proclaims that he is the future of Hip Hop. The EP was hailed as an instant classic, with such hits as "Geekquilibrium" and "Impostor." With this release, Doc signed to the independent label Scrub Club Records.

He then performed at Nerdapalooza with several artists from Scrub Club. In Summer 2009, Doc finished a follow-up EP titled "Subterranean." It was named that because of a departure from Awkward's heavy synth sound and it adopted a more underground feel. This EP was completely discarded because Doc did not feel it evolved in the skills demonstrated on the Next Gen EP.

Since his live act at Nerdapalooza, Doc has performed at after parties for large events such as Florida's Nerd Invasion, San Diego's ComicCon,Texas' Comicpalooza, and Indianaplois' GenCon. He has shared bills with MC Frontalot, MC Lars, MC Chris, Zealous1, YTCracker, and MegaRan.

In April 2010, one year after Next Gen, Dr. Awkward finished and released his first full length album called "Unlimited." The album was titled as such to convey Doc's unlimited potential and ability. This album features an amazing fusion of Nerdy Rhymes, Next Gen Hip Hop, and R&B.

After his huge first LP, Doc is back in the lab working on new material, and playing shows all over the globe!
