Android Lust
Android Lust
Android Lust is the singular vision of Bangladeshi born Shikhee. Drawing elements from a variety of musical and artistic influences her music can perhaps best be described as a searing blend of venomous aggression, moody electronics, and alien eroticism.
After her critically acclaimed debut Resolution (1998) on a now-defunct indie label, Shikhee self released her second full length The Dividing (2003), the first pressing of which sold out within two months. This brought her to the attention of Projekt Records who quickly re-released the album to eager music fans all over the world. The video for "Stained" (shot by director Dan Ouellette) received regular airplay across the United States, as well as 120 Minutes on MTV Latin America, and Australia's music video show Rage. Songs from The Dividing were played on various MTV reality shows, as well as CBS' Navy NCIS. The character Abby Sciutto even mentioned the band's name in one episode.
2006 saw the release of Devour, Rise, and Take Flight. Devour brought Shikhee's commanding voice to center stage set against a raw, unforgiving electronic assault. Again she teamed up with director Dan Ouellette for the video for "Dragonfly". Songs from Devour were also featured on NCIS, including "Hole Solution" which has since been included on the official NCIS Soundtrack released in Feb 2009.
Unlike many electronic music projects, Android Lust is a touring act. Backed by a ferocious live band, Shikhee has taken Android Lust to clubs and halls across the US and Canada. In concert, Shikhee and the band are just as uncompromising and gripping as they are in the studio, spinning out hyper-charged versions of Shikhee's catalog.

Android Lust’s music has been used on:
CBS: Navy NCIS
MTV: Real World, Road Rules, Made, Date My Mom
VH1: Celebrity Swag, Kids Star Parents Exposed, Fabulous Life, Best Week Ever
A&E: Cold Case Files
Biography: Barbie
Discovery Health: Critical Hour
Discovery Times: Yearbook

Roughhausen
Roughhausen
Sometime around 1990 JS relocated to Vancouver and joined the band Will with Rhys Fulber, John McRae and Chris Peterson. Together they released the albums Pearl of Great Price and Word Flesh Stone on London based Third Mind records

The following year he worked with Front Line Assembly on their record, Caustic Grip.

Then he, John McRae and Chris Peterson moved into Skinny Puppy's (at that time) Vancouver based recording Studio Subconscious Communications to write and record the tracks found on Decree's first release, Wake of Devastation.

He then re-emerged working under the name Roughhausen and has released 4 or 5 albums under that name.
Mend
Mend
Using a simple sound set based around analog modeling, lush soundscapes are created to back up thick, multilayered rhythm tracks, resulting in a vivid visual scenery. Stylistic influences range from hip-hop to industrial with nods to dub-step, acid, electro, classical and beyond. Using a consistent sound set, the goal was to create a cohesive mass of music that explores and redefines genre clichés within the bounds of any given track.

M E N D :

Max Glascott is a musician and producer based out of Chicago's west side. He started MEND as a departure from his more "well known" and decidedly more experimental and erratic alias, The Abominable Twitch. He joins forces with old lunch-table pal and fellow Martian, Kassi Cork to help compose music from an entirely different angle.

Kassi Cork is a classically trained pianist and teacher based in Chicago's western suburbs. She has a long and vibrant history within the industrial scene and has been writing and performing with local outfit, Cruciform Injection, with whom she has toured with nationally and internationally.
