American Will Dailey and Australian Mia Dyson, two best kept secrets in their respective homelands, are teaming up this summer to let the cat out of the bag.
Dailey is leading with his brand new single “Sunken Ship” and finds the three-time Boston Music Award Winner celebrating the fight to be an independent artist. A sign of good things to come, the single is already a finalist in the 2013 International Songwriting Competition. The track hails from Dailey's new album National Throat, available exclusively on vinyl for this tour. This album is a testament to the songwriter spirit with the sonic adventurism that has made this award winning artist a stand out among rock journalists like Steve Morse, "Will Dailey's pop smarts, his dedication to detail, and his soul-inflected voice are just what we need right now to restore belief in music. His new songs are personal epiphanies with a universal appeal.”
Dyson, something of a household name in Australia and winner of her country’s ARIA award (their Grammy), is a relative newcomer to the USA. Her new album “Idyllwild” is just her second made in the homeland of her musical idols. She calls it a true collaboration between herself, her immensely talented band and her always supportive fans. Letting go of long held notions of how to make a record, Dyson relished in taking chances, experimenting with new guitars and sounds, and letting her voice and songwriting evolve while staying true to the sound her fans have come to love.
Mia’s been a touring partner with Eric Clapton, Bonnie Raitt and Chris Isaak, and is thrilled to be coming back east to celebrate the release of both of these albums. Dailey’s trio has shared the stage with Neil Young, Willie Nelson, John Mellencamp and worked with Oscar and Grammy winner T Bone Burnett.
These two artists sharing the stage together will be yet another highlight in their already exciting careers.
