Alex Wright grew up singing and playing music with his family in eastern Kentucky. He started performing in churches at the age of 4 and continued to play music with friends and family into his teens in Appalachia. He learned to harmonize with anyone and to appreciate the simple joy of playing music around a table. He began writing music in high school with his first band and has continued through his adult life including medical school and residency training program. He moved to New York City in 2001 where the long subway rides gave him the time to think about songwriting and was musically energized by such a vibrant living city. In 2009 he moved to Louisville Ky, where a rich independent music culture inspired two albums and musical collaborations.
His first studio album, Feeling the Pull, was released in 2011 and enjoyed local success with WFPK Live Lunch performances and air play.
In the winter of 2012 he shared a bill with Jim White and was offered an opportunity for White to produce his next body of work. They collaborated and White produced his soon to be released second studio album Starlight Navigator.
Louisville songstress Brigid Kaelin is part country, part vaudeville, and all Americana. Whether on piano, accordion, guitar, or the musical saw, Brigid has charmed audiences all over the world. She's been called "the Bette Midler of Alt-country" and has received "Best Singer/Songwriter" commendations in Louisville for the past five years.
A musician's musician, Brigid also makes a living as a sidewoman and session player, having performed alongside bands such as Love Jones, Days of the New, Elvis Costello & the Imposters, Garrison Keillor on "A Prairie Home Companion," and countless regional acts.
Her blog, The Red Accordion Diaries, has become as popular as her music. Brigid has recently returned from a year and a half living and touring in Scotland. She's about to start recording her third full-length album.
