Zentenna, Black Stars

Delaware’s own Zentenna is a four piece rock band known for its energetic and fun live shows. The band draws influence from the British Invasion, Rock and Punk and is a two guitar (Kevin McKee Lead, Sam Imhof lead vocals and rhythm), bass (and backing vocals John Rudd) and drums (Chris Lennon) band playing driven and melodic original songs. The band draws a lot of inspiration from sports, especially English Premier League soccer as well as Zen and their music is a medium for the band to convey and share its energy to the listener.

Sam says; “I was classically trained in music when I was young, but once I was exposed to rock and punk it was ALL OVER…the clarinet and saxophone were replaced by a drum set and a guitar. The raw energy that was conveyed reminded me of the feeling of playing in a great sports game….coming off the field exhausted and…satisfied, and the fellowship you feel after a game is a lot like how you feel after a great rock show with other fans”.

The band just released a 10 song CD of new tracks that are diverse and showcase the band’s arrangements, vocal harmonies, strong lead guitar, and the solid rhythm section of John and Chris. The band is proud to hail from Delaware and is active both in the Delaware music scene and performs regionally on the East Coast.
