Clairaudients

Clairaudients

Kansas City based quintet Clairaudients began their journey in the summer of 2012. After 5 years under the moniker "The Atlantic" Patrick Robinson (Vocals/Guitar), Brandon Gardner (Guitar), Eric Fain (Bass), Jordan Thompson (Guitar/Vocals) and M. Blaire Geenens (Drums) found themselves in a new chapter of their artistic endeavor worthy of a new title. In the spirit of rebirth they have begun to reinvent and reinterpret their sound and surroundings with an increasingly organic intention.
Within the ever evolving world of arts, music and media culture, Clairaudients
claim a singular motive: to adhere to the concept of universal unity.

Dinner and a Suit

In a music world where genre lines are increasingly blurred, DINNER AND A SUIT has emerged with a sonic meld that resonates with familiarity and captivates with distinction.

Formed in New Jersey by cousins Jonathan Capeci, Joey Beretta and Anthony Genca, the three looked to their lineage for a musical namesake.

During the Great Depression, the trio's great grandmother was a seamstress by day and community humanitarian by night, welcoming the less fortunate into her home to feed home-cooked meals and then send off with newly repaired suits and clothing.

As a combined unit, the efforts of Capeci, Beretta and Genca have forged a path that reflects their music itself: putting the right pieces in the right places at all the right times.

Since their formation in 2009, Dinner And A Suit quickly captured attention with a captivating blend of ethereal rock and distinguished pop - leading to critical acclaim, a swelling dedication of global fans, and coveted live dates that have circled the band throughout the US.

The spiraling success fueled Dinner And A Suit to transplant to Nashville in late 2010, where they began work on what would become Since Our Departure - their brand new full-length album.

"We left the comforts of home to pursue this dream," explains Capeci. "And that definitely comes through on this record."

To record Since Our Departure, the band split their time between Glow in the Dark Studios in Atlanta with producer Matt Goldman (Anberlin, Underoath), then with Tyler Orr (As Cities Burn, Copeland) at First Street Studios in Cleveland TN.

The resulting work is a range of bold anthems, layered with soaring melodies that are riveting with honesty. Throughout the album's ten towering tracks, Capeci's lush timbre weaves universal themes of forgiveness and hope, love and loss, and discovering a place in the world.

"It just poured out of us," Genca adds. "There's a lot of passion and energy on this record. It's an experience that we're sharing with the listeners in a very real way."

Bears and Company

The woods and the rest of the world are not big enough to hold the Bears and Company. A collaboration project started in hopes to bring a scattered music scene together led to the creation of the Bears and Company. Musicians who have a respectable amount of love and dedication to create a true and honest sound make up the Bears. The Company is made up of the ones who make the creating possible in the first place. When brought together anything is possible. The Bears and Company are more than the average band. With progressive and a mixture of experimental sounds they will give your ears a reason to smile. Join the Company today!

Valaska

Valaska’s new LP, ‘Natural Habitat,’ just released this April, is a true test to Dave Valdez, the man behind the band. It is a brand new place for him, as this album ramps up to be released. For the first time, Dave has a record that truly has the ability to make an impact in the indie music world. Commitment is a value Valaska has held close, and it has paid off. Just as Valaska returns home from a month long tour in February, there are no breaks. Now is the time for premieres, interviews, shows, photos, videos, and other potential goals to further the awareness and success of Valaska. Slowing down is moving backwards. There is no slowing down when you’re committed to moving forward, through thick and thin.

Beginning his musical career with his Grandma’s acoustic guitar, Dave Valdez became involved in local music in the northwest suburbs of Chicago, IL. After years of performing and touring in pop/rock bands, Dave decided to take his own approach and started writing. Valaska’s first self titled e.p., released in March of 2010, showed great potential and gained Valaska many opportunities for shows and press, although Dave was unfulfilled.

After some time taken off to write and hone his craft, Dave began changing his style to a much more raw and real sound.

“I didn’t feel like my first record was truly me. After spending time away from the songs and working on what came to me, I realized I had just hit the tip of my writing nature.”

After time well spent writing solid, new, and personal material; Valaska headed back into the studio with Aaron Marsh, Producer/Engineer and lead singer of a popular indie band, Copeland, at The Vanguard Room in Lakeland, FL. With the help of Aaron, Valaska was able to create exactly what Dave had in mind. Not only did he spend many weeks with Aaron, he also spent many weeks at home recording the record through tape. Dave didn’t want to lose the feel and strength behind live home recordings. So it was incorporated into the album, making the new record both indie and polished. Scheduled to release in March of 2012, ‘Natural Habitat’ will be Valaska’s first real album push into the indie music world. With a solid group now settling behind Dave, Valaska is now getting the chance to tour and promote effectively to create awareness of this record.

“People can take this record any way they want, and see in it what they will. I have a lot of faith in this record, but it was a record I created by myself in my room. I was alone with my thoughts and reactions, related to my relationships and life in general. I’ve always wanted to write a record that shows true meaning behind the words and expression it creates. ‘Natural Habitat’ is my first test toward that goal.”
