Brothers Dameon and Gabe Aranda have been writing, playing, and singing music together since they were kids, and even at a young age, they knew that music was going to be a major part of their lives. Dameon grew up to work with such artists as Jessica Simpson and the Backstreet Boys, as well as Grammy-nominated producers Sam Watters, Louis Biancaniello, and Mark Ronson.

2009 saw Aranda’s first single, “Still in the Dark,” climb into the Top 30 in rock radio across the country, and American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson decided to cover two of the band’s songs on her newest album, All I Ever Wanted.

One of the songs she covered, “Whyyawannabringmedown,” is Aranda’s follow-up single to “Still in the Dark.” The high-energy song is an in-your-face rebellion, and was selected by the WWE as the official theme song of their event The Bash.

Aranda released a deluxe edition of their 2008 self-titled debut album, which includes live tracks and a radio mix of “Whyyawannabringmedown.” Next up is a DVD/CD of their wall-shaking album release show called Aranda: Live From OKC.

Dameon and Gabe are no strangers to sharing the stage with big names in rock: during the past year, they have performed with hit bands such as the All American Rejects, Saliva, Shinedown, Puddle of Mudd, Theory of a Deadman, and Black Stone Cherry. With the brothers’ flawless harmonies and passionate onstage performances, Aranda is a live show you’ll never forget.

“We want to create high energy, keep rocking, keep everybody entertained. We want to involve the audience and make it fun for them,” guitarist Dameon says. “Our hope is that you’ll keep coming back for more.”

The band has just finished recording their 2nd album "Stop the World" with Grammy Nominated producer Johnny K (Disturbed, Sevendust, Staind, Drowning Pool). The bands first single from the record is called 'Undone" and is currently climbing the active rock charts.

We The Ghost

Urban Acoustic, Indie, Reggae, Singer-Songwriter, Rock n Roll... Call it what you will, Midtown Tulsa’s We The Ghost has an unexplainable chemistry and authenticity that cannot be faked.

With the culmination of the simple goals of creating great music and performing a one of a kind live show, We The Ghost have positioned at the upper echelon of the heartland music scene. In their infancy We The Ghost won 3 awards at the 2012 A.B.O.T that included Best Indie Rock Band, Song of the Year, and Best Male Vocalist. They spent 15 consecutive weeks in the top 10 of the FanFav’s chart at Streamcult.com. Even more impressive, We The Ghost have performed live in studio at Z104.5 The Edge, 106.9 K-Hits, 97.5 KMOD, on Fox TV’s Daybreak, Fox TV’s Great Day Green Country, and DirecTv's Oklahoma Live. The band has also been busy playing high profile festivals such as Rocklahoma, Free Tulsa Music Festival, Sundance Film Festival, Las Vegas's Indie Music Festival, and RiverFest.

Not wasting any time We The Ghost have already released three albums in their first year as a band. Their debut studio album “My Mixtape Summer” was released in February 2012 followed by a live album from their performance on 97.5 KMOD in April 2012. Most recently, in December 2012, the band released their best and most well produced album to date, "White Noise". The album, in less than a month, has outsold their previous two releases combined.

We The Ghost is: Beau Tyler - Singer / Songwriter / Acoustic Guitar, Jocelyn Rowland - Violin / Vocals, Dain Samuelson - Djimbe, Jimmy Dean Adams - Drums / Bass, Kris Stone - Keys, Matt McHan - Lead Guitar / Vocals.

According to Lead Vocalist Beau Tyler We The Ghost formed out of loss but soon became the inspiration to move on. “I was at the end of a long and terrible relationship and after the death of several friends, I sold my home in Dallas and moved to Tulsa, OK. I was crashing on Dain's couch, totally depressed and didn't even move for at least a couple of weeks. Finally, one day Dain came in and handed me a guitar and forced me to start writing again. Those songs quickly became our first album.”

Tyler stated the passion from the musicians that came together to become We The Ghost have not only created something that is intensely personal but also original.

“When something is so beautifu l that it allows me to return to my pre-instrumentalist innocence, it's a beautiful thing. My favorite aspect of being a performing musician is the look on a crowd's face when they're enjoying our music and I can tell they've never heard anything like it. It's like we've created a breath of fresh air for everyone. Which is our ultimate goal.”

Sleepwalking Home

With a barrage of adjectives and hyperbole, musicians describe themselves and seek to impress those unfamiliar with their work. Flowery expressions illustrate how their music transcends definition. This all, of course, is wasted space as ten seconds of a song can tell you more about a band than paragraphs will ever say.

Pretense aside, let us speak of Sleepwalking Home. A quintet from Tulsa, OK. The band consists of vocalist Michelle Ameen, guitarist Kenny Matthews, guitarist Justin Huggins, bassist Trey Landis and drummer/vocalist Nick Barton. Sleepwalking Home blends elements of Hardcore, Progressive and Pop to ride a balance between the aggressive and beautiful.

"To me it is all about showing the heavy and melodic." Says Matthews, "I mean, there is no formula when we write a song, but somehow both sides are present when it is finished."
There is an intelligence to the songwriting, while still maintaining unfettered energy and pop sensibility.

When asked to describe the music Ameen answered, "Our music, in a multitude of ways, sparks incredible emotion deep beneath our hard surfaces and lyrically it gives everybody something to relate to."

Sleepwalking Home is a group of people who genuinely enjoy each other's company and value each other's opinion. The bi-product of which seems to be really good music.

There we have it. Sleepwalking Home. A few paragraphs of, almost, exaggeration free information, but you know the drill. Take a listen and see what you think. I am betting you will like what you hear.
