Lips (EP Release Party!)

A talented keyboard player with a soft spot for vintage synths, Stephanie Brown a.k.a Lips performed extensively in her native New Zealand before moving to New York City to make music in her own right.

Characterized by a giant pair of lips on legs, Lips has already won comparisons to the likes of Niki & The Dove and Phantogram. Her's is a unique sound complemented by masterful songwriting and a sly sense of humor. Whether it's loneliness or love, anger or happiness, Brown has a knack for capturing the bittersweet nuances of life and putting them to song.

In 2011, Brown released the track "Everything to Me", which went on to win the Silver Scroll, New Zealand’s most prestigious songwriting award. She describes the song as an "account of needing to take a break from your everyday...and the deeper sentiment of supporting your loved ones through the hurdles that life throws at them". In 2013 Lips released his debut EP "Look, Listen," which features "Everything to Me" and "We Don't Have Much Time."

Now the indie pop crooner's making plans to share “Ghosts and Demons," her second release consisting of four tracks that will have you dancing away the rest of your summertime sadness.

Fielded

Fielded is the stage name of Lindsay A. Powell, a vocalist, songwriter and composer currently based out of Brooklyn, NY. Powell works at creating a genre-less instrumental backdrop for the movement of her voice – a penetrating and sensual tool in which she explores fearlessly and innovatively. She refers to her sound as 'post-apocalyptic pop', a title that is all too fitting as it seems as though her songs have been written as part of some future film laced with battle cries, lovemaking and outer limit abductions. When writing, Powell says that each song begins with a vocal line and from there she constructs an entire movement complete with drums, bass, choral backings and the occasional saxophone solo. Intense and riveting, we pulse through the many dimensions of her songs searching for the history we never knew and the future we never thought we wanted.

Fielded has just finished Ninety Thirty Thirty, her full-length follow-up to 2009's Terrageist. She is currently touring and writing for her upcoming releases.
