Dayseam is an independent alternative rock band from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The band formed in early 2008 with the goal of creating authentic compositions to connect their inner ruminations with the universal truths of a human experience. Described as a "hugely underrated" band by Vince Volz of Double V Bookings and DTV Productions, their "incredible songwriting, guitar work, and killer vocals" serve as a musical medium that translates reflection into a collective, organic encounter with awareness.
In August of 2012, the band will begin crafting their third studio record at The Gradwell House in Haddon Heights, NJ with owner/engineer Dave Downham. Poised to release ten new songs in the Spring of 2013 to a rapidly growing fan base, the band has enlisted the help of BIMMG and Isaac Gordon to spearhead the effort. Currently being featured in Photopass Magazine as an "underdog artist to watch", the band continues to lay the groundwork for a successful third studio album release.
Ehsan Ahmad (lead guitar) and Steve Mroozian (guitars, vocals) quickly found a common narrative in the most unlikely of places in late 2007. Striking up a working relationship centered on creating powerful arrangements, the two artists have over forty cataloged works and two studio albums to their credit. Drawing from a collection of influences with indie connotations, Dayseam personifies a panoramic rock sound resting on a bed of subtle melodic undertones. With a revolving supporting cast, the traditional four-piece rock outfit performs regularly.
Memphis Hat got their start in State College, PA in 2009, and has been growing, changing and developing its own brand of Jam/Blues/Rock music ever since. Influenced by a variety of Classic Rock, Blues, Jazz, Funk and Alternative Rock bands, Memphis Hat has established themselves on and off the Penn State Campus at bars, parties and small festivals. Through the creative song writing skills and soulful guitar licks of JD Dronson and Matt McGovern, and the thunderous rhythms of Rory Flynn and Steve Clarke, Memphis Hat has been impressing audiences and growing their fan base everywhere they've played.
Sometimes inevitability dictates the roads we take, leading us to fateful coincidences, Craigslist ads, and a little bit of blind luck. That's exactly how four-piece Wyland came to be.
Marrying atmospheric rock with a modern pop sensibility and traditional strings and piano, Wyland skillfully crafts tunes that show appreciation for both the present and the past. The band has appeared alongside quite an impressive roster thus far, including Mumford & Sons, Alabama Shakes, and the Vaccines, to name a few.
The up-and-coming quartet has received much praise from publications like The Jersey Journal, PopMatters, The Deli and All Things Go. CMJ stated, "Wyland has an instantly digestible sound. The band blends suburban angst with city kid confidence."
