SCISSOR AND THREAD LABEL NIGHT DJ SPRINKLES/ PAWEL/ FRANCIS HARRIS AT OUTPUT WITH SIGNAL FLOW/ PATTERN DRAMA IN THE PANTHER ROOM

DJ Sprinkles

DJ Sprinkles is the deep house DJ personna of Terre Thaemlitz. Career highlights include winning an "underground grammy" for Best DJ of 1991 during his residency at the notorious New York transsexual sex worker club Sally's II; a three year residency at Tokyo's Club Module from 2003-2006; and DJ Sprinkles' "Midtown 120 Blues" winning Resident Advisor's Best Album of 2009... and that's about it. Everything else has been pretty much off radar, which makes sense for the kinds of minor and "underground" dance music featured in his sets. Sprinkles is unconcerned with mass appeal, and focusses on sniper-sets aimed at a long gone generation of angry and depressed queer HIV/AIDS activists unafraid to cry on the dancefloor.

Signal Flow

Signal Flow is a new live electronic Dj and production duo featuring San Francisco's own Michael Tello and Ray Zuniga. The duo met four years ago in Los Angeles where they started producing together while building a strong brotherhood. Their sound, as of yet, is mysterious, but given the musical outlook of these two gentlemen, you can bet it will be deep, dark, moody and spanning across all genres of electronic music. Michael Tello's live credentials, both as a DJ, and also as a member of live/production trio PillowTalk, have been solidified as that group has been taking the dance music world by storm embarking on their first European tour this past summer. Member Ray Zuniga, a Housepitality SF resident is a skilled and tasteful DJ/Producer who has played gigs spanning across the United States, Mexico, Croatia, and Berlin. Ray is currently living in Berlin staying busy playing in some of the city's best venues: Club der Visionaire, Chalet, Kater Holzig, Salon Zur Wilden Renate, and more.

Signal Flow has a forthcoming EP titled 'Dirty Hands', featuring vocal appearances from Aquarius Heaven and Navid Izadi, along with some amazing remixes in the works that will be announced soon. The lead single 'Dirty Hands', produced along with Jonny Cruz of My Favorite Robot, features Aquarius Heaven on vocal duty. The track has been getting serious buzz since the debut live performance on Studio R (radio stream), Berlin. The B-side, 'Drug Lips' features vocals from Navid Izadi, which has been getting heavy play from Damian Lazarus around the world.

The duo's debut EP will be released on their very own newly started imprint, Touch of Class Records, due out in April 2013. The label saw it's official launch event, 'Midnight in Tulum', during the BPM festival in Playa Del Carmen, MX this past January. Up next for the label, is their Miami WMC event, INCEPTION, with new partnership Foundry LA. The event will be at Wynwood Cafeina with world class artists, DJ's and designers showcased all under Miami's beautiful open sky. Presented by SAFE.

At present they are between Berlin, San Francisco, and New York. Given the close working bond of these two, expect them to produce something bigger than the sum of their parts on numerous forthcoming EP's.
