Rock band. Melting faces & mending hearts since 1997.
Sounds Like: Killswitch Engage, Bullet for My Valentine, Sevendust, Mudvayne, Avenged Sevenfold
Since their inception in 2010, Cathercist has been making strides across the Gulf Coast with hopes of spreading their infectious sound. Cathercist has taken cues from the last three decades of metal and alternative rock, and revamped it for a modern audience. With their first single "Closer", they were able to attain airplay on various FM stations and gain slots on festivals such as the 2011 Rockstar Uproar Tour and 2012 Carnival of Madness Tour.
More recently, Cathercist has also gained endorsements with Peavey Amps, Paiste Cymbals, Seagull Acoustics, Mooer Pedals, Dimarzio Pickups, and Berma Clothing. Cathercist has just exited the studio with producer Matt LaPlant (Nonpoint, Skindred) and are releasing their new record "As Hope Expires" May 24th. The new single "Bad Memory" hits airwaves soon.
