Two of the Mission’s most innovative chefs—Hi Lo and Hog & Rocks’ Robin Song and Dennis Lee, of Namu Gaji and the soon-to-open Magnolia Brewery and BBQ—are getting together for a not-to-be-missed barbecue collaboration. With an international approach to the art of wood, smoke and fire, their elevated five-course menu will showcase a diverse range of techniques and traditions from barbecue meccas like South Carolina and Seoul. The evening will culminate with generous platters of smoked meats served alongside plenty of banchan-style pickles and sides. Dessert from acclaimed pastry chef Maya Erickson and custom cocktail, beer and wine pairings will round out the meal.
