Catz 'n Dogz
Catz 'N Dogz's refreshing take on house has propelled them into the limelight; remixing for Maceo Plex, Axel Boman and KiNK and getting the remix treatment from Carl Craig and Tanner Ross. Catz 'N Dogz have appeared in festivals and clubs throughout the world and currently hold a residency at Polish club SQ, throwing the famed underground dance party, "Pets Gone Wild." The duo have since launched their new own label "PETS," hosting Eats Everything, Till Von Sein, J. Phlip, A1 Bassline and Bubba.
If you can move, Orchard Lounge will back you up: from the dance floor to the couch.
OL is the DJ collective of Spencer Lokken, Bethany Briscoe Lokken, and Ben Silver. Since they met in Chicago in 2000, this versatile trio has enlightened dance floors from Mexico to Maine with their highly unpredictable and eclectic sets. From headnodic downtempo & boogie to ominous and ultramodern house & tech, theirs is a democratic mission: to expose as many people as possible to the artists whom they admire and respect, create unique dance floor memories, and to cross traditional boundaries of turntablism/improv/electronic fusion.
What sets Orchard Lounge apart from other selectors, however, is that you won't always find them in the club. They've built a reputation over the last decade as a hard-touring festival act and set-break crowd favorite, frequently supporting live bands. All three members have a deep-rooted passion for live music, which has allowed them to experiment with a variety of different types of DJ sets when performing on stage.
Consistently labeled as risk takers, the members of OL aren't afraid to clear a room if they genuinely believe in and appreciate the record. That said, they take their title as tastemakers very seriously and are constantly looking for new ways to engage even the most discerning of crowds. They have an interminable work ethic and while they cherish their underground roots, from day one they've been determined to bring the art of deejaying to the forefront of popular culture. Their goals are slowly being realized as they've had the rare opportunity of performing at world famous venues such as Red Rocks, the Pritzker Pavillion in Millennium Park, and New York's Hammerstein Ballroom.
Tone of Arc
San Francisco producer Derrick Boyd, aka Dead Seal, now Tone OF Arc, a duo/band production with partner/vocalist Zoe Presnick have been making music for most of their lives. Two of those special individuals possessed with a wide range of musical expression, bringing a glimpse of real musicality to the underground tech house and indie house scene. They sing, play guitar, bass, and keys, and all this live too. Tone Of Arc's powerful stage presence drawn from old school cats like Iggy Pop, The Clash, and Bowie helps to partially define the originality of his music. Boyd has been a recording junkie since his teens. Boyd has created a volume of more than a two hundred songs and tracks which he jokingly refers to as his "Dead Seal Scrolls". In the midst of all their activity, a debut full length album on the ever expanding inspirational house record label No.19 owned by Nitin and Jonny White of Art Department is due at the end of summer in 2012 with 3 Ep's to be released before so marking a long and anticipated wait of 2 years dedication to execute a perfect album release. Come short they have not and their live set completes the experience %110.
