The 14th Annual Edwardian Ball
THE EDWARDIAN BALL is an elegant and whimsical celebration of art, music, theatre, fashion, technology, circus, and the beloved creations of the late, great author Edward Gorey. Set in "Edwardian" times, this multi-media festival has grown over the past 14 years from a small underground club night into an internationally recognized festival.
Edward Gorey's "The Curious Sofa"
"The Curious Sofa offers the ultimate in pornographic joy, combining naughtiness to the limit of the imagination and laughter to the point of breathlessness."
Rosin Coven is the World’s Premiere Pagan Lounge Ensemble; nine musicians blend voices, cellos, contrabass, accordion, violin, guitar, trombone, trumpet, vibraphone, drums, and percussion to create their own style of theatrical cabaret. Edith Piaf does the cha-cha with Charles Mingus, Eric Satie tangos with Sun-Ra, and Kurt Weil broods over Doris Day. Rosin Coven presents an irreverent yet elegant balance between musicianship, poise, theatricality, and humor. They’re found where you least expect them…in nightclubs, theatres, parks, festivals, museums, deserts, parades, galas, and foreign lands.
“An umpteen-piece band full of pale-faced, velvet-clad cool cats playing everything from cello and contrabass to accordion, the group falls on a continuum between Rocky Horror camp and medieval danse macabre. The members of Rosin Coven, a Berkeley-based troupe with a vigorous following, look and sound like well-traveled carnies with formidable heaps of classical training; the roguish ensemble is even easy on the eyes.” – SF Weekly
Vau de Vire Society
Spawned from the depths of San Francisco’s thriving Dance and Circus sub-cultures, the Vau de Vire Society has ravaged and titillated live entertainment, causing jaws to drop in awe and garnering admiration around the world. This Avant-Cabaret community consists of classically-trained dancers, some of the nations most acclaimed acrobats, aerial artists, contortionists and circus side-show acts, an array of unique fire-performers, a handful of gifted thespians and a barrage of the most enticing go-go’s.
Attending a Vau de Vire Society event is akin to stepping into an interactive Circus where audience and performer become a single rhythmic force. Together we create lush art-filled environments providing all in attendance a safe-haven to indulge fantasies of running away with the circus… if even for the night.
Hailed by LA Weekly as “the cult darling of the underworld,” Jill Tracy, “Belle of The Edwardian Ball,” returns for another provocative performance that brings the waltzing dance floor to life.
With her signature concoction of dark parlour and classical piano, haunting lyrics and seductive style, she creates a sound that conjures up glamorous shades of dark cabaret, early cinema, and film noir— but with a distinctively modern flair.
“Best of the Bay” award winner, Jill Tracy was described in the SF Bay Guardian as “inimitable …a shining beacon of almost beatific grace.” Los Angeles Times recently named her a “modern musical icon.”
NPR’s All Things Considered calls her “utterly intriguing…transporting you into a magical world solely of her creation.”
Dark Garden’s crew of dedicated corset makers, helmed by Autumn Adamme, has been making the world a curvier place to be since 1989, offering a safe space for people of all shapes and sizes to be fabulous. Their corsets, costumes and gowns are world renowned for exceptional quality and fit, not to mention beauty.

Kinetic Steam Works
Kinetic Steam Works is a Bay Area collective dedicated to steam powered kinetic art, repurposing the artifacts of clockwork modernity while creatively blending Art & Industry.
The Klown represents the next step in red-nose (r)evolution for one Boenobo the Klown and his band of merry musical pranksters. And that amounts to a scalable act equal parts music and micro-circus, taking one of three forms depending on the nature of a given event, budget, etc., and sharing the same original glitch / electro / electronic rock musical stylings across all three.
