Justin Fedor

North Carolina's Justin Fedor, founding member of The New Familiars, has been a fixture in the Charlotte music community for nearly a decade. Having toured most of the US with afore mentioned "familiars" as well as other groups such as Ancient Cities and Band Of Opportunity, Fedor has shared the bill with classic acts like Taj Mahal, Levon Helm & Del McCoury (and soon to be with Gregg Allman); as well as new groups like Langhorne Slim, Infamous Stringdusters & Tyler Ramsey (Band Of Horses). Known for his energetic performances with his current groups, Fedor takes a more subdued approach to his solo efforts. Quiet finger picking tunes on his hollow body electric are sometimes accompanied by pedal steel & violin. Fedor is currently recording a new album of material with his friend & bandmate, Stephen Warwick.

Josh Oliver with Cornelia Overton

East TN native Josh Oliver has spent the past five years as a side man, touring all over the United States, singing harmony, playing lead guitar and piano with the likes of the everybodyfields, Sam Quinn + Japan 10, and Jill Andrews. And now, with his debut album, Troubles, he's taking a stab at being out front. The album features both original and traditional material, including a unique take on Townes Van Zandt's, "White Freightliner Blues," and a mournful rendering of the Carter Family tune, "I Never Will Marry." The album features Oliver on lead vocals, guitar, and keys, as well as familiar faces Brandon Story on upright bass, Megan Gregory on fiddle and vocals, and Sam Quinn on harmony vocals. Troubles, a warm and inviting collection of songs, harkens back to a simpler time, whether it's through the contemporary renderings of traditionals or the traditional style of Oliver's self-penned tunes. This album, from start to finish, is a piece of classic, easy Americana.

Playing as a duo, Josh Oliver and Cornelia Overton are young East Tennesseens who play a mix of original and traditional material. Their beautiful harmonies are accompanied by Overton's old timey fiddling style and Oliver's unique guitar work.
