Luna is Honey, Snow Wite, Tenlons Fort, Fort King

So much to draw from, and, seemingly, so little time. The music of L.A. four-piece Luna Is Honey is like a filter that's retained bits and pieces of everything that's been poured through it — '80s New Wave, R&B, shoegaze and '90s alt-rock, to name a few. The latter two figure influences prominently on the quartet's forthcoming "Coolbreeze" EP, the follow-up to 2011′s sexier full-length "Sex Museum." Singer-guitarist Josh Crampton, abetted by guitarist Adrian Acosta, bassist Jay Francisco and percussionist Amorn Bholsangngam, charges through rough-hewn guitar rock that's tuneful enough to stick and complex enough to play on repeat. "No Moon" may not affect tides, but it has a great sting. - BuzzBands.LA

Snow Wite

From the banks of the LA river come four visionary youth specializing in blowing minds and breaking hearts all across the world: Snow Wite.

What started as a noise letter to a friend in 1995, Tenlons Fort has become a four album song cycle of musician, writer, director, artist and human rights activist Jack Gibson. The latest release Shelters LP consists of ten songs, an equal number of paintings.

After years of following the melancholic muse resulting in the first three releases The Golden Handshake, Followed By Bad Luck and Forever is a Long Time, Tenlons Fort replaces the meditations of death and doom, with tales of wisdom, patience, and clarity without leaving the emotional territory that has made him an underground favorite since 2005.

Fort King, nom de guerre for Ryan Fuller, a songsmith who grew up in Ocala, FL and resides in Los Angeles. Steeped in old folk traditions and country blues like Mississippi John Hurt, his outsider view of LA life made him something of a citified crooner of New Weird Americana. "Black Palms" is a dirge of nascent teen suicide in a country setting. "Osceola" highlights the psychology of the Seminole Indian warrior, much as Neil Young chronicled new world holocausts in his "Cortez, the Killer." Heartbreak is also a theme and Ryan's fingerpicking and soft delivery have invited comparison to Elliott Smith.
