Trinell Byrd aka Young Gliss is carving out is own piece of the Hip Hop world. As the nephew of Lee Andrews from “Lee Andrews and the Hearts” and his cousin Ahmir Thompson AKA Questlove, Gliss knew at a young age which direction he would take. Gliss received his rap name from his Brother Ali’s rap book. Ali overheard him reciting lyrics that he had written for a song and loved it. The name stuck; ...however, Ali would influence Gliss to find his own style and sound. He began his focus on lyrical word play and great hooks, which established him as a great upcoming artist in Philadelphia and beyond.
Young Gliss’ first mix tape ‘Dealing With The Pressure’ was released on May 28th 2010 and spoke about a young man dealing with stress in the world. He had features that included G-unit Trav as well as other artists from different locations. His next project ‘Dealing With The Pressure 2’ was released April 10th 2011. Young Gliss collaborated with up-coming artists such as Jon Connor, Cyssero, Rain and Shady Records artist Cashis. The project also featured The Roots Crew’s Dice Raw, Truck North

Diamond State Empire
Diamond State Empire (D.S.E.) was founded 2009 by Donte “FINAO” Goodman and James “STACKS” Thompson. Friends since 2005, this dynamic duo started out as CEO’s of their own separate record labels. Realizing they shared the same dreams, passion, and dedication, the decision was made to put their labels on the back burner and focus on coming up together. Ever since, they have been on their non-stop grind. Diamond State is one of the most versatile groups to date. With members like the Swagg Exec, who is a genre binder, King, who is the life of any party, Stacks who has the wittiest flow around, and Finao with his clever displays of lyricism, D.S.E is here to make a statement. Their Delaware anthem ”MAXXED OUTT” is getting heavy love in the streets as well as in the club and the newly released FINAO EP is generating a crazy buzz in the streets. Not to mention they have one of the hottest and most talked about YOUTUBE CHANNELS; DSOD TV is a weekly program featuring local artists and D.S.E. music. All this mixed with their ambition to succeed, Diamond State Empire is destined for greatness.
