Watch & Listen
Todd Terje, born Terje Olsen, arrived on the Scandinavian dance scene in 2004 and, in short order, became one of its prominent figures beside early supporter Prins Thomas and Hans-Peter Lindstrøm. Terje channeled a voracious appetite for several styles of music -- including dub, disco, synth pop, house, and techno -- into warmly received edits of tracks by Bee Gees, Michael Jackson, and Santana. He also made a splash in 2005 with "Eurodans," one of his own productions, released on Thomas' Full Pupp label. By 2006, it was difficult to keep tabs on all of Terje's remix work, though the man's looks at Lindstrøm's "Another Station," Studio's "Life's a Beach!," Kaoru Inoue's "The Secret Field," and Dølle Jølle's "Balearic Incarnation" weren't easy to avoid in discerning DJ sets. On Remaster of the Universe, released on 2010 through Permanent Vacation, Terje served up a collection of his edits and remixes in the form of a continuous DJ mix. A year later, he released one of his most popular tracks, "Snooze 4 Love," on Gerd Janson's Running Back.
After the release of his first record, he took a break to tighten up his production. He came back in 2009 as xxxy which led to the releases of "Reflections ep" on the influential Manchester label Mindset and "Science Fiction/651" on Formant Recordings. By late 2009 he had begun to become more and more influenced by house music which had begun to take up a much larger section of his record collection.
2010 saw the release of a split of the very well received 12" on Infrasonics. Comprised of the Baltimore influenced "Blue Flashing Lights" and the Funky Roller "Know You" which was included in FACT magazine's tunes of 2010 list.
Later in 2010 he released the critically acclaimed garage influenced ep "Every Step Forward" on Fortified Audio.
The January 2011 release of "You Always Start it/Ordinary Things" on Ten Thousand Yen increased xxxy's burgeoning reputation with Pitchfork picking "ordinary things" as it's best new tune of the day "What's so special about "Ordinary Things" isn't its parts, though, but how impeccably they are put together...This rush comes complete with a joyous "Whoo!" sample to let you know that, yeah, while you're getting the chills, this is still body-moving music."
2011 will see releases on Orca, Well Rounded, Infrasonics & All City together with Remixes for Tri Angle and the Count & Sinden.
As a DJ xxxy has produced well received mixes for FACT, BBQ & URB as well as playing dates all over the UK and Europe.

The M A N I K discography boasts music releases on the worlds best underground imprints like Josh Wink's Ovum, L.A based Culprit, Steve Bug's highly praised Poker Flat, as well as releases on the almighty Hot Creations- run by Lee Foss and Jamie Jones.
You could throw around any number of "genre-locking terms"– House, Nu-Disco, Funk, Deep House, Acid, Electronica; however, you'd still fail to get to the meaning of M A N I K
Over the past year Beto Cravioto has become one of New York's premiere DJ talents, bringing his special brand of deephouse and disco to some of the best parties in the city, including his own Kaviar Disco Club nights. His mostly vinyl DJ sets are always a treat & have impressed just about everyone. For how little time he's been around, he's already shared the decks with a wide range of dj's. From Fred Falke to Tanner Ross.
All the while Beto was impressing people on the dance floor he was quietly laboring in the studio, finding his own sound. "No Social Culture" is his first actual release so it was only natural that he teamed up with Justin Strauss and studio partner Bryan Mette (Whatever / Whatever) to bring this slow disco groover to its optimum place.
Blacky II doesn’t have a bio avail..you should just find out about him for yourself, we hear he makes it rain blood.. and in a good way.

He has had releases on DUTTY ARTZ, Grizzly, Diskotopia, and Sticks N Stones Recordings.
Hailing from Montreal, Canada, this young beat maker and DJ is no stranger to production. Starting to produce in his early teens, and now at only 21 years of age, Kaytranada has the work ethic of a seasoned producer.
His influences come from all sorts of genres; genres ranging between Disco, Hip-Hop, House, and R&B. As of the last year, he has made a name for himself through bootleg remixes from artists such as Janet Jackson, Missy Elliot, TLC, Danny Brown, and Teedra Moses. Combined, these remixes have received millions of plays on Soundcloud and YouTube.
Kaytranada’s impressive lineup of tracks improved even more this past February with the 8 track original EP on HW&W Recordings (US) / Jakarta (EU), ‘KAYTRA TODO’. Featuring a track with Los Angeles singer and songwriter JMSN, this EP has received attention from blogs, artists, and press all over the world.
Keep an eye out for Kaytranada, as he plans to take his progressive and innovative production to fans in every corner of the globe.
To raise the new, one must raze the old. For the better part of the past decade, Los Angeles producer/DJ Jerome Potter has utilized his creative efforts toward LOL Boys, a collaborative project that was sparked via an online message board with likeminded DJ Markus Garcia. Undoubtedly a fruitful endeavor, debuting numerous buzzworthy EPs and becoming among the most in-demand DJs in the LA club scene, the LOL Boys recently reached their climax with the release of their most acclaimed record to date, the Changes EP, and have since announced their decision to put the venture on an indefinite hiatus. From the ashes of LOL Boys though, rises Jerome Potter's newfound solo enterprise, Jerome LOL. And now, with the ability to contribute to the entire greater whole rather than just half, Jerome LOL is set to continue right where LOL Boys left off: further exploring uncharted spectrums in modern dance music while still maintaining the unique, Internet-fueled aesthetic.
For Jasper Patterson AKA Groundislava, creativity combined with the video game, sci-fi sounds and general aesthetics of the 1980’s have been instilled since day one. A young 20 year-old hailing from Venice, California, Jasper’s father both animated and directed the classic “Take On Me” video by A-Ha and while Groundislava isn’t exactly the next logical step from the Norwegian new wave group, Jasper takes that same creative freedom and emotion and injects it into a sound grounded in beats, video games, technology and self-proclaimed “nerdy shit.” As part of the Wedidit Collective (helmed by his old schoolmate Henry Laufer, better known as Shlohmo), Groundislava is the next representative stepping into the light and exposing a group of youngsters each with their own nonchalantly expert takes on forms of beat and electronic music.
Though now splitting her time between Miami and Brooklyn, XLR8R’s “artist to watch” Jubilee will always be Brooklyn’s bass sweetheart. Known for her rambunctious combination of upfront bass music, UK house, and tropical flavors, she has become a surefire remedy for ailing dancefloors around the globe.
Co-opting her name from the X-Men character who shot fireworks out of her hands, Jubilee works similar magic when she steps into the DJ booth. But she’s also simply Jess, the one-time South Florida raver who grew up obsessively listening to Miami bass on the radio and dancing the night away at underground breaks parties. After making the move to NYC, she quickly infiltrated the DJ circuit and began turning heads with her knowledge of all things bass.
It’s the sweet mix of underground bass and tropical vibes that brings Jubilee from clubs and warehouse parties to the comfort of your own home. Her radio show Fireworks, on both Brooklyn Radio and Electric Soundstage (iHeartRadio’s new electronic station), continuously features fellow global producers such as Sinden, Bok Bok, Mike Q, and Star Eyes. Prior to Fireworks, she has DJed on East Village Radio and put together well received guest mixes for “The Mix Up” on Australia’s Triple J Radio and XLR8R Magazine’s esteemed podcast series.
Star Slinger is an Electronic project created by Nottinghamshire born Darren Williams. It all started in April 2010 when he re-ignited his love for record-shopping in Manchester's Northern Quarter. The name Star Slinger was born when he sampled BT Express' instrumental B Side "Cowboy Dancer". He often names his creations with word association towards the sample he uses. Skip to August 2010 Star Slinger is also in demand with the indie community. Small Black championed his Remix of their song "Photojournalist". The blogosphere championed his Unofficial Remix of Deerhunter's "Helicopter" and has since been approached for Official Remix Work from some of his longtime favourite bands, including Broken Social Scene (Arts & Crafts) , The Morning Benders (Rough Trade) & The Go! Team (Memphis Industries).
Revealed as part of TTC – the band way beyond your average French hiphop band – and cofounder of Institubes Records, Teki Latex later confessed his true pop heart with the "Party de Plaisir" LP in 2007 where he invites French 1980s cult pop singer Lio to the candy like intimacy of his "Matins de Paris" (Parisian Mornings).
"Mes Pelures Sont Plus Belles Que Vos Fruits" (2009) street album came out while the Sound Pellegrino label was developing – with Teki as co-AD and co-boss since 2008 – and instinctively releasing tracks/entities in digital ways: stripped down house music, techno or "tropical" ambient, sometimes a hint of British garage... Zombie Disco Squad, Bobmo or L-Vis 1990 are all Teki’s signatures as he releases his own EP – "Answers", "Dinosaurs With Guns", "I Was Sober" – which is played in clubs while the author himself is turning into a dedicated DJ.
30% Sound Pellegrino, 30% house classics, 20% new stuff, 10% hiphop, and the same amount of weirdness. At the decks, Teki likes to taste a bit of everything: delighting party animals with club tunes as well as deviant and minimalist tracks, or his hiphop and pop fundamentals... His selection a constant reaction to the energy offered by the multitude.
Going solo or as a duo (in the Sound Pellegrino Thermal Team with Orgasmic), Teki has already blown away Australia, the USA, Japan ¬– this last stop also allowing a textile mating with Big O and Phenomenon – and Barcelona (Razzmatazz). In Paris, he never ceases to please those who come to dance/drink/seduce at Baron, Social Club, Showcase, Régine's, Bataclan, or at the Moulin Rouge’s Machine.
Highly enjoyable moments indeed, vibed up by his remixes – such as those for Bobmo or Canblaster with Para One – in which we get a chance to hear his "vocal house 2010" voice style.

Clicks and Whistles
