Masta Ace has always managed to remain current and totally classic in the exact same breath. In his 1988 lyrical debut, he took a stand along side Big Daddy Kane, Kool G. Rap and Craig G on hip hop's most important posse cut, 'The Symphony'. His first full length album, the Marley Marl produced Take A Look Around (1990), established the rookie emcee as a sophisticated voice from the ghetto.
Slaughtahouse (1993) was an ingenious conversation with hip hop, as Ace and his incorporated crew took on the entire gangsta rap genre. In 1995, his Sittin' On Chrome LP unified American car culture as a celebration of rims and rides and rap music. Then after a 6 year hiatus, Ace caught the world off guard with the epic
Disposable Arts (2001). This classic theme album, complete with plot, main characters and score, played like a feature film on wax. A Long Hot Summer, (2004), was the prequel to Disposable Arts. These two "flicks", were connected, and although Ace was the only actual recurring character, the storylines blended together in a well thought out arrangement.
In 2004 he announced that "…Summer" would be his fifth and final solo album. It seems that he was planning a unique and different way to continue making contributions to Hip Hop. Ace has teamed up with Wordsworth, Punchline and Stricklin to form the new group EMC. All three were featured heavily on his last two releases and the chemistry that resulted was undeniable. The album, "The Show" will be released this summer on M3 Records, an upstart independent label formed by Ace and his partners "Filthy Rich" and "DJ Rob".

From his early start breakdancing with the Mind Motion Crew in the early 80s, to movin’ the crowd with his brother DJ EFX, DJ Mind Motion was destined to become a Hip-Hop & DJ pioneer.
Mind Motion has been spinnin' the records for sometime. He picked up his first turntables when he was 13 years old, and soon after started playing house parties, birthdays and weddings. After he mastered that format he moved onto a bigger and broader audience of schools and big hall dances. His first big gig was at a club called the "Nightbreak" in San Francisco. After that, everything fell into place for this talented DJ. His first branded party was called "Mothership
Connection" which gave him the foundation to have a part in creating the world famous "Cream of Beat" Parties. This was the party of all parties. It was mandatory for all artists who came through the Bay Area to attend “Cream of Beat”. Anybody who’s anybody broke ground at the “Creamery”, 2Pac, Redman, Wu-Tang are just some of the alumni.
Mind Motion is part founder and a member of the crew called the "Pirate DJs" and currently is the resident DJ for Chuy Gomez in the Morning on 106.1 KMEL from 5:30am – 10am. In the club world, DJ Mind Motion is NOTORIOUS for his "gifted" ability to get the crowd hyped whether by playing the hottest hits, breaking new music or taking you
back to the old school. DJ Mind Motion has mastered the science of rocking a party, as well as, handling crowd control business on the mic. In 2001 he won the West Coast DJ of the YEAR from RPM Marketing.
Throughout the years (from the early 90s to the present) DJ Mind Motion has always been a key factor in the Bay Area DJ scene. His musical expertise and tireless dedication to the culture has led Mind Motion and the Pirate DJ Crew to be known throughout the world. This includes every conceivable facet of djing you can imagine. You name a
club; He has promoted it. You name a backyard party; He has rocked it. Djing in front of 40,000; He's done it. Plain and simple, Mind Motion can easily claim to be one of the most-respected, hardest-working djs in the business.
