Founder of ThatsThatlabel.com, a former 2x World champion DJ and arguably one of the most versatile Dj/Producers in the US, Vinroc aka Vincent Punsalan, started his career in music at the age of 10. He discovered his passion for music through Djing. Growing up across the river from Manhattan in Jersey City via Queens, he was influenced by the melting pot of music that New York city had to offer. Hip Hop, House, Reggae Dancehall and everything else in between, Dj Vinroc relocated to the west coast in 1997 to the Bay Area. Based on the west coast He began working with and performing with some of the most celebrated djs in the music industry: tour dates alongside Dj Z-trip, The Beat Junkies, Kid Kapri, Dj Qbert and Mix Master Mike just to name a few. He has even had the privilege to speak on a dj panel at a hip hop summit with the late Jam Master Jay and flanked by Africa Bambaataa. He has also been featured in numerous publications including urb magazine, the Source, XXL, the cover of Dj times, and rolling stones throughout his career. Vinroc represents two Dj super groups on each coast:5th Platoon from New York City and the Triple Threat Djs from the Bay Area, whose member include celebrated Mixtape Dj Neil Armstrong as well as Former ISP member DJ Shortkut . Currently Vinroc is focusing on music production and has had the privilege to do remixes for Talib Kweli , Black Thought of the Roots, Bay area soul siren Goapale, and Souls of Mischief. True to the Bay area's independent musical spirit, Vinroc runs his own distribution and promotion of his own projects and has culminated into the launch of ThatsThatlabel.com.
Toast has been making noise in the SF club scene since moving here in 2007. She got into DJing through an infatuation with Hip Hop and desire to be a part of the culture. A few years deep in the game, Ry has graduated from hip hop head to true music lover. Her sets reflect this evolution. When she is not behind the wheels of steel, you can catch Ry Toast spitting fire as a Bikram Yoga teacher.
Take a look back over the last 20 years of San Francisco DJ culture and Mei-Lwun's name continues to pop up at the forefront of many music movements. From humble early 90's Santa Cruz beach raves and San Francisco warehouse parties through Soulstice and his now classic mashups in the early '00 to todays technologically advance live remixing style of djing, Mei-Lwun has managed not only to stay relevant but to push the envelop of djing, dance music and technology.
House, Hip-Hop, Indy or all of the above and everything in between Dj Mei-Lwun has played with Djs and musicians like Calvin Harris, Mix Master Mike, Karmin, Pharsyde, Dj AM, LL Cool J, Grand Master Flash, B.O.B., Block Party, Gym Class Heros, Biz Markie, Them Jeans, Spyder, Paul Okenfold and more. Left to his own devices Mei-Lwun will weave together epic long dj sets that mix together a bit of everything keeping the crowd not only partying but on their toes.
