Scott Mikelson & Dan Coyle

Scott Mickelson is the singer/songwriter/producer for San Francisco band FAT OPIE. In 2013, they released their critically acclaimed fifth CD Victoryville. Fat Opie won a national search from 7-Up and MTV, and has been featured in the many publications including the San Francisco Chronicle, Music News Nashville. His narrative writing style continues to paint both musical and lyrical portraits of contemporary life as an American. Mickelson's distinct voice draws comparisons ranging from Eddie Vedder to Neil Diamond. His unique approach to the banjo, according to the San Diego Reader, “forged the gap into front porch Americana and retained attitude.”
“Mickelson creates everyday people and the unvarnished nuances of their daily lives... his songs are microcosms of American society." - Music News Nashville
“It's American folk-Rock with a post punk edge, rustic but scarred.” - Alternative Press Magazine
Dan Coyle has been touring and making music since 2008. His latest output, a 6-song EP entitled "The Undertow," is an especially poetic record, at once both delicate and insouciant. Dan has performed in major festivals such as The Folk Alliance and has appeared on NBC Live, The ABC Morning Show, and Balcony TV (Germany). Dan has played countless shows across the United States and Canada, including a year-long stretch of performances throughout Europe in 2011. He averages 100 live performances per year, leaving a trail of delighted fans in his wake. He lives in New York City.
