Hairball is a Rock & Roll experience you won't soon forget. A band puts on a concert-Hairball puts on an event! The lights, sound, smoke, fire, bombs, and screaming hoards of avid fans...to merely call it a concert would be like calling Mount Rushmore a roadside attraction!
Vocalists Rockstar Bob, Joe Dandy, and Steve Voxx lead the band through a 2-hour, mind-blowing, and drop-dead accurate homage to some of the biggest arena acts in the world. Van Halen, KISS, Motley Crue, Queen, Journey, and Aerosmith are but a few of the acts fans will see brought to life. The Hairball stage becomes an entirely new rock concert before your very eyes countless times throughout the night.
The motor that drives the Hairball dragster consists of Freaky on the electric bass, Blake on the drums, and Happy on the lead guitar. These Rock & Roll soldiers pride themselves on nailing some of the most memorable licks and chops of all time, while adding their own style and flare that they've cultivated over decades of tireless performing. These guys live and breathe Rock & Roll!
2015 finds Hairball celebrating its 15th year of rocking hundreds of thousands of people across the country. Every day it adds more characters, more pyrotechnics, more lights, more sound, more props, more surprises...more everything! While Happy often tells the audience "Today is the first day is the rest of your life!" Hairball performs every show as though it could be its last. Every night is a 100% full-on, no-holds-barred, exciting, chaotic, fiery party that has to be experienced to be believed!
As important to Hairball as the music are its fans. While many bands claim to have the best fans in the world, Hairball actually has! Whether they are 10 years old or 100, Hairball fans bring an unparalleled enthusiasm and energy to the show that enhances the arena experience. Hairball knows it wouldn't exist without its fans, and takes every opportunity to let them know that. Whether it's a pre-show meet and greet, hanging out at the merch booth, or chatting online, Hairball has a lot in common with its fans and it's always a good time when they get together.
Don't confuse Hairball with the countless "80's Tribute" bands across the country. Hairball is an experience, an attitude, and expression of music that isn't simply a retro flashback. It's a way of life, and it's not going anywhere soon!

City Pages 10 Thousand Sounds presented by Coldwell Banker Burnet
On Saturday, July 26, 2014, City Pages will host its 2nd annual music festival from 4:00 pm – 10:00 pm. The single-stage, outdoor event will take place in the hub of downtown – just one block south of the Orpheum Theater off of 10th Street and Hennepin Avenue.
Drawing on the vibrant local music scene, 10 Thousand Sounds will showcase a multi-genre lineup of renowned and emerging artists alike.
Achilles Quiroga moved to the United States from Ecuador, in South America, in November 2007. Already being an avid vocalist and guitar player, and having indulged in Latin, Bolero and Salsa music native to his country (he also sings fluently in several languages), he desired to continue to pursue his love for heavy metal and rock music in general. After a few years of false starts, he joined Hooligan’s Holiday, a Motley Crue tribute band in Sept. 2010. Success with that band led to opening slots for national acts such as Adler’s Appetite, LA Guns, Faster Pussycat, and Bang Tango. A year later the band split, Achilles joined a Denver based Salsa band, Kizumba, and his stint with that band encouraged him to start his own 12 piece salsa band, Manabí, which he is also currently singing with. He also formed an acoustic rock duo with guitarist Josh Disney called Sonic Death Monkeys that performs classic rock covers and does a Guns & Roses tribute. Achilles impressive vocal range is the heart of the Blood Pollution sound.
Bassist/vocalist Lu Hutchinson began his performing career at age 15 and turned pro after moving to Hollywood in the late 80’s. He studied his craft at Musician’s Institute , learning from such greats as Billy Sheehan (Talas, David Lee Roth, Mr. Big) , Stu Hamm (Joe Satriani), Share Pedersen (Vixen), and the legendary Tim Bogert ( Vanilla Fudge, Beck Bogert & Appice, Cactus ). Lu’s band, Montage, opened for Warrant and Skid Row during their stint in Hollywood. After moving to Laramie, Wyoming, Lu continued to play rock, blues and country in a series of successful bands such as Deep Six, Hangman’s Jury and toured seven countries with Blind Dog Smokin’. Upon moving to Loveland, Colorado in 2011, Lu seemed the natural, and most qualified, choice to be the bassist in Blood Pollution.
Guitarist Richard Townsend has been a professional musician since going full-time as a youngster in the late 70’s. His band, Ambush toured extensively throughout the Midwest for years. After relocating to Colorado in the early 80’s, he formed an all-original project called Small Giants, recording a CD and touring the state. Later, after playing with several other projects he formed Sight Unseen, which does a mix of covers and originals, and is still active. He is currently conquering lead guitar duties in Blood Pollution, “so as to unify all life and bring harmony to the universe! “, while melting a few faces, of course! His authentic guitar tones and style make him the perfect guitar player for Blood Pollution.
Drummer/vocalist Tim Elliott began his professional career in a then-current 80’s metal band called Seducer, who’s vocalist was future Yngwie Malmsteen, Talisman, Journey vocalist Jeff Scott Soto. A Fort Collins native, Tim went east when everyone else went west, and landed in the Philadelphia area. In 10 years there he recorded and toured with several original and cover bands , and got to open shows for KIX , Molly Hatchett , Blue Oyster Cult , Brother Cane , Zack Wylde , Pat Travers , Foghat , Dirty Looks , Wrathchild America , Dead End Kids , Chastain , Dangerous Toys and Heaven . Tim moved back to Colorado in 1997 and has been busy with bands like Wall Of Dogs (1999-2012), where he sang lead vocals from behind the drums, and who released two CD’s of original music. Hazmat (2007-2011), a classic rock band that was big on the festival circuit and opened for Vince Neil at Thunder In The Rockies in 2010. He currently also plays in a 90s modern rock /alternative cover band called Audible Clique, where he is the lead vocalist as well as the drummer. Tim’s thunderous drumming makes the Blood Pollution engine pump! Together with bassist and co-backing vocalist Lu Hutchinson, they make a formidable rhythm section!
