The Cold Start
The Cold Start released their second EP, Grateful Eyes, a six track indie pop record written, produced and recorded by four Englishmen living in Orlando on October 14th 2013. Grateful Eyes chronicles the bands uprooting from England and journey across Northern America moving coasts from Los Angeles, California to Orlando, Florida.
Originally from the South of England, Lloyd Williams (Vocals, Guitar, Piano), Nicholas Taylor (Guitar), Daniel Smith (Bass) and Adam Cardy (Drums) wrote and produced Grateful Eyes in Florida. This second release is an up-tempo mix of their indie rock sound layered with influences of 90’s emo and brit pop. The record and particularly front man Williams’ lyrics explores honestly and frankly, themes of love and loss (My Dear, Perfect Timing) and their journeys across America/exit from their temporary home of Los Angeles (Love, Hate, Sunset).
The band’s punk rock roots set them apart from other live bands with an energy that is contagious and shows audiences an earnest excitement and heartfelt, passionate belief in their sound and their message, constantly winning over new followers in every town they play, as well as maintaining a current and personal relationship with their existing fans.
With prolific Television placements on the CW Network, and E! Entertainment networks, The Cold Start have been showcasing their material from their self titled first EP, Grateful Eyes and new material with multiple live shows throughout Florida, and have already accomplished two extremely successful North American tours in January and March 2014.
The Cold Start are straight back to work on their as yet untitled third record due for release this June/July and are anticipating a lengthy return to the west coast, and their largest American tour to date in summer 2014.
