In a time where R&B has lost its soulful edge, comes TruSoL, a male quartet group representing Jersey City, NJ. Harnessing both soulful and gospel backgrounds, their captivating melodies, sweet harmonies, unforgettable lyrics and amazing sound, is refreshing and brings back to the forefront R&B music the way it should be.
Drawing inspiration from legendary musical artists the likes of Stevie Wonder, Jodeci, Take 6, and Boyz II Men, TruSoL is bound to capture your heart and stir your soul.
Their debut album entitled “Worth Tha Wait” was an introduction of TruSoL to the world and has only wet the appetite of adoring fans. Their sophomore album “Love Therapy” which is set to release Spring 2011, is a smooth, story telling depiction of their thoughts, feelings and experiences dealing with all aspects of love from romance, to forgiveness, to encouragement, and inspiration. Their lead single Chocolate Sweet is a declaration to all ladies no matter what shape, size, or color you are; to TruSoL you are beautiful.
TruSoL remains grounded and humbled by the opportunity to share their creative expression and love for music with the world. TruSoL has come along way. What was once a dream has now become a reality. From performing acapella songs in New Jersey malls, to singing in NYC subways, to opening for several of R&B most successful acts like Silk and Next to name a few. Those who have yet to take pleasure in the “TruSoL Experience” will be in for a pleasant surprise.
Open Up your heart to TruSoL!
A recent graduate of the Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music at NYU, Daniel Bazán, Jr. p/k/a DB2 is the new breed and definition of "multi-threat" in the music business. Composer, producer, engineer, and artist are just some of the hats that the future music mogul likes to wear. Born in Queens, and raised in the Dominican Republic, Daniel picked up his first instrument, the piano, at age 11. Daniel started playing music in local churches, cultural centers, and school choirs. After shining bright amongst his peers, Daniel honed his craft, and progressed his music education by studying jazz formally in New York City, slaying statewide music competitions, and even performing for Mayor Bloomberg at Gracie Mansion. While writing, recording, producing, and performing with many up-and-coming artists around town, Daniel captured the attention of Swizz Beatz, and had an opportunity to talk music with him in person for a special feature by The New York Daily News. Daniel joined forces with emerging hip-hop artist Najee The 1 and collaborated on a new and buzz-worthy project called Settle For Greatness EP. The creative process behind the production of the album was profiled by The New York Times, during a recording session in one of Converse's Rubber Tracks studios, and by Jay-Z's lifestyle blog Life + Times, during a live string-quartet session at NYU. Daniel debuted his work on this album and shined bright like a star alongside Najee The 1 at the BET Music Matters Showcase on February, 2012, where BET asked him to join their campaign in an official capacity to embrace fans as a solo artist and a force to be reckoned with. Sky is the limit for this brand new artist.
