Before there was Kool Keith, Old Dirty Bastard or 2 Live Crew - before there was hip hop, for that matter - there was Blowfly, performing X-rated songs with a funky groove. Born 60 years ago in Cochran, Georgia, Miami's Clarence Reid has recorded more than 40 albums during his illustrious career. He got his nickname as a child when his grandmother, after hearing him sing dirty versions of then popular songs - like "Suck My D**k" for "Do The Twist" - proclaimed, "You is nastier than a blowfly."
The music of Fat Night started with a few Florida natives looking to feed their appetite for funk music. After many late night sessions, what started off as jam time turned into fine tuning a soulful sound they could call their own.
A rock solid foundation of a rhythm section comprised of Ted Issen (Bass) and Nik Ritchie (Drums) made it easy for Dan Hanson (Guitar & Vocals) and Gabe Gundacker (Keys & Vocals) to start writing songs that felt good to the group.
They released their first 7" single, "Things You Do," in early 2013 on Colemine Records, which has since received very positive reviews, followed by their debut full length self titled album.
Fat Night is currently supporting their new EP, "Lazy Days" on tour.
Resident DJ at Orlando's longest running club night Phat-N-Jazzy. Produced & remixed for various labels including Eighth Dimension, New Breed, Mephisto, Shadow & Internal Bass UK.
His record bag has found occasion to travel from Asia to Europe, both Americas and has allowed him several tours of those United States. His computer and keyboards have licensed over 100 releases, remixes & edits on labels worldwide.
Sleazy also manhandles edit label Whiskey Disco, a sneaky re-edit label bent on dredging the decanter for diffident dancefloor genius from latent disco perpetrators.
