Beats For Education: A Fundraiser For Fansiga Village School

African music and dance festival to benefit the village school in Fansiga, Guinea. High energy drum and dance performances from Atimevu and Limanya start off the show. Dance to the grooves of Tani Diakte, Kikeh Mato, and Djeli Kunda from Milwaukee. The Handphibians bring out their Brazilian beats to end the show. Come on out to provide uniforms and supplies to Guinean kids in need. Beats for education!

The Handphibians

The Handphibians are a vibrant group of Madison-based musicians dedicated to playing and promoting Brasilian-style percussion.

Tani Diakite and the Afro-Funkstars

Tani is a musical force who has inspired an entire community of artists. With his Kamale n'goni, a West African ancestor to the banjo, and his plaintive singing, he never fails to drop the deepest blues around.
