Lisa Zane is an American independent with an eclectic, intercultural repertoire, unique on the music scene. Her act has a 21st century dimension in its swift blend of cultures and musical traditions; with a worldliness that speaks to mature audiences and fascinates a youthful one: Her original material rooted in rock, folk and jazz is informed by Greek art songs, Mexican habaneras, French chansons, and demonstrates an ever widening reach.
Ms. Zane has played on festival stages, in theatres, concert halls, nightclubs and tiny bars, with her top rate ensemble featuring flamenco guitar, piano, bass and percussion. Committed to the intimacy of soul that such music demands, and with inclusiveness and a respectful knack for atmosphere, she’s received warmly around the world wherever she plays.
As a lyricist, composer and singer, Ms. Zane’s T.V. and film credits include Charmed, Monkeybone, The Girl from Nagasaki and Coriolanus.
