The Reignsmen

The Reignsmen are a Rock & Roll quartet hailing from Santa Barbara, CA. Drawing on influences from both past and present, our aim is to eclectically blend the sounds of our influences into a musical experience that is our very own.

Kelp plays modern surf music and traditional classics from the heyday of the surf scene. Coming out of the garage above Rincon Point in April, 1996, Kelp has played up and down the California Coast. Like the mix of songs, a mix of traditional spring reverb with modern digital enhancements and stereo amplification gives Kelp a big and thoroughly modern sound. Influences range from the inimitable Dick Dale and Paul Johnson to modern bands such as The Mermen, The Insect Surfers, Brazil 2001 and Savage Republic.

The Sidewalk Affair

Justin Christopher Ward was born and raised in Glenview, Illinois, a suburb just outside of Chicago. His interest in music began at a very early age when he was introduced to the piano and violin at the age of 4. Already having a strong background in music, when he enrolled in band to play the saxophone, he quickly excelled, winning outstanding soloist awards each year at all the local jazz festivals and was nominated for the best soloist award in Downbeat Magazine. He was first chair in both the IMEA concert and jazz bands throughout middle school and high school, eventually going on to study at The DePaul University School of Music. Now, a resident of Santa Barbara, Justin has quickly become a highly sought after sax player all over the California coast, with regular gigs in Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, Montecito, and San Francisco.

Being trained in both classical and jazz gives Justin the versatility to play just about anything. He is currently playing alongside many DJs at some of the biggest nightclubs in California. Justin opened for The Dream Foundation's 2012 Celebration of Dreams Gala, sharing the stage with Katy Perry, The Canadian Tenors, Casey Abrams, and many other big names. Most recently, he was personally invited to play for a private event featuring Earth, Wind & Fire.

In addition to his solo career, Justin is currently involved in numerous projects, some of which include Tri Level Funk and Sidewalk Affair.

Easy Bear

Easy Bear is a California Pop/Rock band based out of Santa Barbara and formed in 2012 by long-time friends, singer/guitar player Joey Enthoven and drummer Matt Lopez. Joey and Matt spent the beginning months of the band’s existence writing songs and creating the sound that is Easy Bear, without a bass player. After several months of fine-tuning and writing it was evident that Easy Bear needed to fill the low-end void in order to propel the band forward. Auditions were held and after several unsuccessful players, Easy Bear added another friend to complete the line-up in Noah Donnelly. Noah was able to provide the tight rhythmic bass lines that completed Easy Bear’s sound. After several rehearsals the band was finally ready to take the act to the masses. Shortly after they took their first show on last minute notice at The Creek Side Inn in their hometown of Santa Barbara. With an overwhelmingly great response from the crowd, Easy Bear has continued to perform at virtually any venue that will have them and continues to create a buzz. The band has since recorded an EP that will soon be released on iTunes and Amazon, among other music marketplaces. Recorded in the guest bedrooom of Joey’s parents house, the EP was tracked over a weekend in November 2012 while Joeys parents vacationed (thanks Gerald & Ria!). The band used twin mattresses to block noise from escaping out the windows in the guest room in order to not have the cops called on them. This DIY approach is what defines Easy Bear. However, the band has picked up some help along the way. Recently the band has signed with Mark Rasmussen of Street Loyal Management. With Mark as their manager, the band is excited to break new ground and forge a path all their own as Easy Bear, a California Pop/Rock band.

Bears Among Men

Jamey Geston

Jamey Geston, is a 15-year-old singer-songwriter who plays guitar, bass, ukulele, piano and learning mandolin. Her music has an organic mix of indie, blended in a folksy beat, and flavored with pinch of acoustic pop.She is really inspired by a lot of British artists and bands, "because a lot of them seem to know how to phrase things well, so poetic and lovely. Her music reflects traces of Gabrielle Aplin, Regina Spektor, and even a bit of a throwback to the 60s with Joni Mitchell.” Over the pass year she has had some amazing in opportunities which include: Opening for the Legendary Folksinger Judy Collins, Nathan McEuen and Leroy Lee (Australian Songsmith), sharing the stage with Jeff Bridges, Kenny Loggins and Will Champlin (The Voice.) This past October '13 she was a top finalist in Santa Barbara Independent Battle of the Bands, a solo artist against five all male bands, and featured artist in The 2013 Santa Barbara Independent Band Guide - "The 805’s Next Great Music Maker,” In fall '12 she was a finalist in Zoey's Cafe “One to Watch” Emerging Songwriter, making her the youngest contestant to advance to finals.
