Smile Empty Soul
California’s Smile Empty Soul formed in 1998 and quickly rose in the Los Angeles club scene. The band was picked up by Atlantic Records which released their self-titled debut album “Smile Empty Soul” in 2003. The album was best known for the smash hit “Bottom of a bottle” and was certified gold with sales in excess of 500,000 units.
The band toured and built a massive following which spawned the albums “Vultures”, “Anxiety”, “Consciousness” and “3′s”. All met with strong independent success and furthered the bands long standing career.
According to vocalist Sean Danielsen: “Fans have always said they can relate to the band’s “heartfelt” lyrics, as well as their raw and emotional sound. Through many struggles and hardships Smile Empty Soul has always persevered , simply because “this is what we love to do”. When you listen to our records it’s obvious where our priorities lie: The music.”
In June 2013 Smile Empty Soul formed an imprint label called “Two Disciples Entertainment” in conjunction with Pavement Entertainment, and It will see the band controlling all aspects of marketing and promotion. The group has just completed work on their new album “Chemicals” and are planning on a release in the fall of 2013.
The hardest-working, hottest young rock band in Southern California - ACIDIC - is at it again! They've just wrapped up a major career milestone with a hit two-month national tour with the multi-platinum-selling Seattle-based powerhouse Candlebox. The tour through the East Coast and Upper Midwest including the Florida Music Festival was their biggest and hottest yet! This crowns a hugely successful Spring touring season that included their smash Midwestern tour with Fuel, and featured appearances at SXSW '12, which confirmed their stature as a national touring band.
ACIDIC, which Alternative Press said "Rocks like Funeral Party, Cage the Elephant, Young the Giant," consists of lead singer/guitarist Michael Gossard, bassist Ted Dubrawski, guitarist/backup vocalist Michael Thompson, and drummer Matt Whitaker.
Last fall, ACIDIC unleashed their latest album, the highly-anticipated "Chronic Satisfaction," to wild and enthusiastic response! The CD, produced by multi-platinum award-winning producer John Ryan (Styx, Santana, Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Allman Brothers, etc) of Chicago Kid Productions. The strength of "Chronic Satisfaction" inspired Music Reviews to name ACIDIC one of its "12 Bands To Watch in 2012," and the steamy video of the single "Uninspired" has become a Youtube sensation. They've also toured with Alien Ant Farm, Hawthorne Heights, Filter, Marcy Playground, and The Higher. They've also toured Kosovo and Germany, rocking US troops with Armed Forces Entertainment.
In addition to their smash tours, ACIDIC has also played such prestigious gigs as the 2012 Winter NAMM Show at the Anaheim Convention Center, SXSW '10 and '11, two Sunset Strip Music Festivals, and Bamboozle Left. ACIDIC won the Alternative category in the 18th Billboard WorldWide Song Contest in 2011 for their power rocker "Strata Red," off their 2010 CD "Getting Lucky."
We are First Decree. Our name comes from what we have lived in life. Its basically putting all the unwritten laws and rules of life into song.
Codec is a band that makes music that is at once dangerous and beautiful, that channels the future through the past to compress and make sense of life and death. Their work deciphers the immense data of our uncertain existence and presents it on a soul level.
Son Survivor started as a musical outlet project in 2011. It was started with one goal in mind- not to take over the world, not to be the biggest band around, not to give us something to do on a Friday night. We are here for one reason- to make ass-kicking music with our good friends. After taking some time off in the summer of 2011 and solidifying the line-up, we have created 8 brand new metal songs designed to melt faces. In the fall of 2012, Son Survivor went into the studio with Danny Cooper (Bleach Blond, Drop Dead Gorgeous drummer) to put some of these ideas down. Watch for some new music to be in your hands in the coming months and lookout for some shows this winter.. they're gonna be sick
Strip The Stars
Fresh off their self-titled debut album, Strip The Stars is a band that does things their way. Whether it’s the writing and recording process or live performances, they’ve not been content following the old channels of the music world and have instead paved their own road. Drawing comparisons to Stone Temple Pilots, Foo Fighters, and Alice in Chains, the full shake- you-to-your-bones sound of this quartet puts the roar in your speakers and will leave you singing the songs long after the show’s over.
Formed in early 2011, Strip The Stars brings together vocalist David Frisbie, drummer Leonardo Zayas, guitarist Brett Walston, and bassist Miles Marlin. Early on, the discovery of their own formula led to the forma- tion of the songs that make up Strip The Stars. Songs such as “28 Days” and “Simple Things” blend intricate-yet-accessible guitar hooks, catchy vocal melodies and harmonies, and a defined and powerful groove with pop sensibilities. The band split time early between writing and slowly bringing the music to the masses, but with the September release of Strip The Stars, the band has finally been able to fully focus on their live show in Denver and beyond, sharing stages with acts such as Trapt and Beta Wolf along the way. 2013 shows Strip The Stars firing on all cylinders, and with their solid musicianship and songwriting, this is a band you won’t want to miss.
A TRAVESTY PREVENTED
We are A Travesty Prevented, or ATP for short. We have been enthralled by electronic music for as long as we can remember. Our band consists of 2 members. Preston Denning and Travis Huyler. It has been our dream to bring the beauty of electronic music and fuse it with elements of all sorts of other genres. We believe that we are far more creative than your mainstream music and bands for one reason. We create everything you hear and see from scratch. We do not have some fancy label taking us on and turning us into what they think would be the right look or the right sound. We produce, mix, arrange, develop and with the help of our good friend Gino Colletti, master all our own music. Our music is intended to provoke thought and inspire every listener. We will never stop creating music that can and always be felt in your soul.
