Haley Swindal's musical career has taken her across the country and around the world, from Carnegie Hall to the Sporting Club in Monte Carlo, and right back where she grew up: Yankee Stadium.
"Play to Win" tells the story of Haley's quirky journey charting her own path in the arts, using all that she learned from the passion and perseverance of her greatest influence: her grand-father, Yankees owner and consummate New Yorker, George Steinbrenner. It is co-conceived and directed by Broadway producer and director Arianna Knapp, and musically directed by Ben Krauss (Mystery of Edwin Drood). With a mix of Broadway, folk, rock, and some zany stories along the way, this show blends a little baseball with a lot of life and love.
Haley has appeared on Broadway and on tour with "Jekyll and Hyde," "White Christmas," "Jesus Christ Superstar" opposite Ted Neeley, and as Grace Farrell in "Annie" opposite Sally Struthers. She has performed in concert alongside the great jazz vocalist Steve Tyrell, acclaimed Irish tenor Ronan Tynan, and under the baton of Steven Reineke with the New York Pops. As a film actress, she won a New York Emmy as the host of Kids on Deck, which ran on YES Network Television for two seasons. In November, she can be seen starring as Ellen in North Shore Music Theatre's "Miss Saigon."
