3rd Annual PRHBTN feat. PAPER DIAMOND
Paper Diamond is making quite a name for himself, and it comes as no surprise to those familiar with his endlessly creative music that the name Paper Diamond itself carries. As he simply put, “Paper Diamond draws from an origami concept in that If you have a piece of paper, whatever your diamond shape is (simple or complex), that’s YOUR art. For me musically speaking, whether it’s simple or has a lot of layers, it’s my self-expression. Paper Diamond is art"
Skill and versatility has landed Paper Diamond on stage with some of the biggest names in the game, and with releases on Pretty Lights Music and Diplo's Mad Decent label under his belt, everything is falling into place for Paper Diamond. 2013 has already seen a massive 50+ show tour with Excision and top tier festival plays surfacing for the Summer. Even with a heavy touring schedule Paper Diamond has found time to write new music and ready his third official release "Paragon" is out now for free on his own Elm & Oak records. "Paragon" features a range of production, instrumentation, and collaborators all weaved into Paper Diamond's signature style. While "genre-defying" is an overused word, Paper Diamond is one of the rare artists who truly pulls it off.
Wick-It The Instigator
Following in the footsteps of contemporary remix artists like Girl Talk and Diplo, Wick-It The Instigator has made a name for himself on the national scene. Fresh off of a summer on the Warped Tour, Forecastle Festival, and the upcoming Moog Fest, he is doing big things. You might know him from his mash-up album of The Black Keys and Big Boi or maybe from his notoriously raucous shows at Cosmic Charlie’s and Beaux Arts Ball. Wick-It is here to start the party, keep the party going, and keep you moving all night long.
Lexington, Kentucky-based producer Ellie Herring has been on a steady rise in recent years. July 2013 marked her third release, Kite Day EP (Racecar 2013), and showed a more experimental side to her music. In April of this year she followed it up with Chipped, a smooth, spaced-out 4-song EP featuring cut up samples buried in droney beats.
Since then she's been on fire with singles premiering on Do Androids Dance, The 405 and Gorilla Vs Bear. A recent mix for SSENSE landed her a 2nd feature on GVB within the same month. She is currently working on her next full-length, set for 2014.
