The Nerve

The Nerve

The Nerve incorporates a blend of many styles, giving the ultimate impression of a melodic rock group, with funky and progressive leanings. They have new music featured on the latest cd release Shades of Silver.

Scot Silver, founder, guitarist and vocals, crafts the songs with originality yet accessibility. Scot's playing encapsulates a mix of Steve Howe, Al DiMeola and Steve Lukather. Scot has been named ‘up and coming guitarist’ in Jazz Improv Magazine. He has released several cds to date, all of which have received airplay and been reviewed favorably by local publications.

Christine Dragon, lead vocalist, brings a smooth, but powerful element to the mix. An engaging frontwoman, dream Natalie Merchant with twists of Annie Lennox.

Eric Schreiber, bassist, met Scot at university 20 years ago. Think Tony Levin meets Chris Squire and your getting warmer. Eric is also known for his work with The Chuck Anderson Trio.

Dave Coccio, drums, brings up the rear with his scorching drum work. Dave is 2 parts Terry Bozzio, 1 part John Bonham and all parts his own.

Jim Briggs, our 2nd guitarist, is the baritone or glue that holds the parts together. A country player at heart, Jim adds versatility to the soundscape.
