Badfish, a Tribute to Sublime

Badfish, a Tribute to Sublime

The phenomenon known as Sublime, arguably the most energetic, original and uniquely eclectic band to emerge from any scene, anywhere, ended with the untimely death of lead singer, guitarist and songwriter Brad Nowell in May of 1996. But encompassing the sense of place and purpose long associated with Sublime's music, Badfish, a Tribute to Sublime continues to channel the spirit of Sublime with a fury not felt for some time. What separates Badfish from other tribute bands is that they have replicated Sublime's essence, developing a scene and dedicated following most commonly reserved for label-driven, mainstream acts. Badfish make their mark on the audience by playing with the spirit of Sublime. They perform not as Sublime would have, or did, but as Badfish does!

The Joint Chiefs

The Joint Chiefs bring their own sounds of Jam-influenced Rock to venues spanning from Maine to Chicago to New York City and all the way to their new home in Nashville, TN. They started off as students at Colby College and Berklee College of Music, playing parties and school functions to dancing, rowdy crowds. Starting with their home of New England, they spread both their music and live performances from there. Their energetic live performances keep the crowds dancing, and their latest EP "The Beginning" channels it through the studio lens. The Chiefs are currently hard at work in the studio once again to bring you their first full-length album in time for a Nashville-based summer 2014 tour.

Subject 2 Change

Subject 2 Change started playing regularly in 2011, and have been rocking out in earnest ever since. The band recorded their first independent & self-produced project, entitled 'PandaMonium', in the summer of 2011, and released the album in March of 2012 (PandaMonium is currently available for purchase on iTunes, and through their website at - you can also listen to their music here on Facebook or any of the band's other online profiles)

The three founding members of the band - Aksel Solberg, Anders Benson & Eric Palmer - are long time friends, and have over 40 years of musical experience between them. Although each member has extensive experience performing live music, Subject 2 Change is the first project where the three friends have come together in a single group. While each member of the band has a full-time career, they still manage to regularly write new music, improve their skills, and perform at venues across New England. Living by the credo 'Work hard, play harder,' S2C is dreaming big and hopes to continue their climb up the charts in New England's live music scene.

Since beginning their endeavors in the New England music scene in 2011, Subject 2 Change has performed at many notable venues, and also acquired recognition on the national level when they performed with Badfish - Sublime Tribute at The Sinclair in Cambridge, MA. With a solid foundation of experience as a group now under their belt, S2C has their sights set on some major goals for moving forward. Please help them out by sharing their music with friends, and staying active in the live music scene!
