Natural Vibrations, aka Natural Vibes or Natty Vibes, is Hawai'i's most popular and acclaimed band from the Windward side of O'ahu. They started out as a group of friends who loved playing music and went from playing backyard parties to headlining some of Hawai'is biggest shows and venues. Since 1996 they've recorded 6 full length albums featuring a sound with strong roots in reggae, rock and pop. Their unique musical blend combined with a party and dance energy has allowed them share the stage with artists like Prince, 311, Jimmy Cliff, Ziggy Marley, UB40, Jack Johnson, Pepper and SOJA, to name a few. The same sound and vibe that has earned them the respect of some of reggae's biggest names has also brought them multiple Best Reggae Album and People's Choice awards at the Hawaii Music Awards, as well as, Hawai'i's prestigous Na Hoku Hanohano Awards.
"Our biggest accomplishment is to after 15 years still be playing and producing music that is loved and anticipated by our fans."
Thats the driving force behind their current goal to relocate to the west coast, tour nationally and record new music. With the help of Polynesian Underground, Natural Vibrations will embark on new territory and new listeners.
Look for their newest single, "Make You Stay" to be released November 2012, and catch them at a show in your neighborhood.
Fear Nuttin Band
Fear Nuttin band is an all original reggae/rock style band that is driven to write honest and real music. Comprised of 3 members from Jamaica and 3 from the United States FNB has developed a sound that combines elements of Reggae, Rock,Hip Hop, Hardcore, Dancehall and Metal drawing on their cultural diversity to make the mix true and real. This is demonstrated by the one of a kind live show full of energy and good vibes that has blended well with bands they have shared the stage or toured with like SOJA, Toots and the Maytals, Warped Tour, Streetlight Manifesto, Kanye West, Sublime, Pepper, Rebelution, Reel Big Fish, Steel Pulse and many others
In 2007 FNB competed on Fuse TV's Bodog Music Battle of the Bands in front of millions of weekly viewers. Although they placed 2nd out of 8,000 unsigned bands they were offered a contract and went right into the studio to record "Yardcore" with legendary producer Terry Date (Deftones, Staind, Pantera, Korn, Soundgarden, Fishbone to name a few). Unfortunately Bodog Music shut their doors shorty after and the band had to start over and make new plans.
FNB wouldn't let the music industry dictate their fate so they went back into the studio on their own and recorded "Move Positive" which debuted at #5 on Itunes Reggae chart and featured 2 songs co written and produced by SOJA's Jacob Hemphill, "Rebel" and "Standing by The Wall". Move Positive also brought forth a guest appearance collaboration with Reggae legend Bushman on "Informer"
On election day Nov 6th 2012 FNB released their latest album "Vibes Love Revolution" which debuted at #2 on Itunes Reggae Charts and reached #8 on Billboard's Reggae chart in between heavy hitters SOJA and Sean Paul. VLR has guest appearances by Stephen Newland from Rootz Underground, Hellman and Rafa from SOJA, Jordan Miller formerly from The Movement, and Germany's rising reggae star Sara Lugo.
The band plans a US tour this spring and will be featured at the California Roots Festival which boasts the biggest lineup of Reggae/Rock hybrid bands. FNB will continue to bring their positive message of "Unify the Music Unify the People" to people everywhere with their records and live shows.
