Doors 8:00 PM / Show 9:00 PM

The band was unintentionally founded by El Segundo natives Joo-Joo Ashworth (guitar, vocals) and Jeff Fribourg (omnichord), who each graduated from El Segundo High School in 2012 and 2008, respectively.
"Frothing at the gash" is a crude Australian idiom which combines the phrase "frothing at the mouth" with a slang term for vagina: gash, typically referring to a woman who is eager to have sex.
Let the giggles abound, but Froth's music is just as good and nasty as its vulgar roots. They're blending a delicious combination of '60s garage, psych, surf, low-fi, and shoegaze drenched in Ashworth's exaggerated lyrical compositions bathed in washed out, heady vocals. Maybe some Country Joe & the Fish, Creation, and general '60s nuggets from the old school, mixed with some Brian Jonestown Massacre, Black Angels, and Entrance Band from the newer school. It's a neo-psychedelic sound quite popular in parts of Europe currently, as well as throughout Los Angeles – which is where Froth has taken it. They're presently based in Echo Park.
The songs that Jesus Sons write serve as explicit documentation of living in modern day America. The lyrics are filled with shady characters from the back streets of San Francisco and beyond. The ones lurking in the shady corners of your local watering hole, taking long drags off their cigarettes. Their breath stained of cheap whiskey. The music is the product of each members' geographical origins colliding together. Two hometown buds from Idaho lay down vocals, guitar, harmonica and drums, two boys from Los Angeles bring in the bass and slide guitar and a lone ranger rings in the tasteful lead guitar and harmonica from Iowa. The five boys of Jesus Sons dust each song with their experiences of growing up in a troubled time. There is an uneasiness underneath their youthful, determined soundtrack for the modern day motorcycle riding, fast driving, whiskey and beer drinking, freedom seeking kids of today and tomorrow.
Trio from Los Angeles started in 2007 with Noah (vox/guitar), Johnny (vox/bass/guitar), and Raymond (drums). They released an e.p. called Theme Songs on Papermade Records.
Jose (bass/guitar) filled in for Johnny in 2008.
Dirt Dress is set to release a set of 3 cassette e.p.’s on Papermade Records called Perdido En La Suciedad. The first e.p. was released on March 27th 2009. The second e.p. was released on November 2nd 2009.
Influences include: The Velvet Underground, The Fall, The Pixies, Bo Diddley, Talking Heads and a bunch of other crappy bands.
Corners (DJ set)
"Garage rock in the purest form that makes you want to go out and cause a little trouble. 'Sometimes' had me wanting to throw on my leather jacket and step out into the dark night, ready for any adventure that may be lurking in the alleys. This is the stuff your mother warned you about. Embrace it."
