Norman Brown

BWB's 'Human Nature' album and tour spotlights the three most distinct stylists in contemporary jazz today: Trumpeter Rick Braun, saxophonist Kirk Whalum, and guitarist Norman Brown. Each a musical force in his own right, they team up to bring a new spin to such well-known Michael Jackson tunes such as "Billie Jean," "The Way You Make Me Feel," "Man in the Mirror," and many more!

Kirk Whalum

Soulful, passionate, stirring...these are the words most often used to describe Kirk’s music.

Kirk is the recipient of numerous awards and acknowledgements for his musical excellence including three Dove Award nominations, an NAACP Image Award nomination and has won two Stellar Awards-Gospel music’s highest honor. An eleven time Grammy nominee, Kirk won his first Grammy award for Best Gospel Song (“It’s What I Do”-featuring Lalah Hathaway) alongside life-long friend and gifted writer, Jerry Peters.

Rick Braun's been playing trumpet since he was a kid. No news there for the legions of fans his richly melodic playing style has attracted since the release of his first album, Intimate Secrets in 1993. Less known is the fact that he's been a singer, and a good one (backing Rod Stewart and Sade among others, with vocals as well as his stellar trumpet) for most of his life, as well.
