AM's music pays homage to the Tulsa-born musician's diverse influences, which include Jorge Ben, Brian Wilson, and Curtis Mayfield, while showcasing his own songwriting chops, intelligent lyrics and psychedelic grooves into what you could call ‘Future-Pop.’ With over 100 songs featured on TV shows such as Greys Anatomy, Criminal Minds, Castle, Royal Pains, Keeping Up With The Kardashians, AM returns to Tulsa after previously playing Dfest and several other local shows to headline his first Tulsa show at The Vanguard. AM has toured with bands such as AIR, Charlotte Gainsbourg, and Thievery Corporation.
Shawn Lee's Ping Pong Orchestra
Hailing from Wichita, Kansas, Shawn Lee’s prolific recording career – 30 plus albums and counting - took off with albums like Monkey Boy, which included “Happiness,” later a mega-hit for singer Will Young and his Planet Of The Breaks series remains one of the most sampled in the hip world. His cinematic instrumental music as “Shawn Lee’s Ping Pong Orchestra,” have gotten quite a buzz and he is well known for his creative collaborations with artists such as Clutchy Hopkins, Amy Winehouse, Lana Del Rey, Alicia Keyes, Money Mark, Adrian Younge and Wild Belle. He has composed music for film, video games (award winning Rockstar video game composer for “Bully”), and TV shows including HBO’s Eastbound And Down, Lost, and Desperate Housewives. George Clooney personally chose his tune “Kiss The Sky” for his new movie with Matt Damon “The Monuments Men”.
