Spring Heeled Jack

Spring Heeled Jack

Spring Heeled Jack has long been one of the most beloved exports of the New Haven area music scene. Their dynamic combination of Punk, Pop, and Ska made them one of the most successful east coast bands of the 90’s ska revival, resulting in Static World View becoming one of the best selling albums ever, on Moon Ska. After a long hiatus, and a handful of one off reunion shows.. the band is back! And… they have a special treat for their most hardcore fans. The Band will be playing two very intimate shows at the Spaceland Ballroom in Hamden to play all your favorites, as well as debut a handful of new tracks they’re working on for upcoming releases. The band hasn’t played a room this small in CT in nearly 15 years, so don’t miss out on your chance to be a part of these very special evenings.

Lenny Lashley’s Gang of One

LENNY LASHELY'S GANG OF ONE is the latest project from the former Darkbuster front man/current Street Dogs guitarist. A longtime fixture in the Boston punk scene, Lenny has been playing and touring with his original music for over 16 years. The debut LP released early this year on Panic State records sold out in 2 days, and featured members of the Mighty Mighty Bosstones, and the Bouncing Souls. Highly recommended for fans of Dropkick Murphys/Gaslight Anthem Style punk rock.

The Hempsteadys

It is not everyday that a band releases a concept album as their debut full length, but The Hempsteadys are anything but conventional. The 11-piece from New London, Connecticut melds the traditional sounds of late ‘60s Jamaica, Motown and early British punk with the modern soul of Daptone Records and reggae rhythms of contemporaries such as The Aggrolites and The Slackers.

El Amor De Los Muertos is a rock(steady) opera about forbidden love with classic movie monsters as the cast of characters. Think of The Specials’ “Ghost Town” with the subject being more literal-than-symbolic and the music having a similar sound. This album has been four years in the making, as hinted at in the title of the song “Teen Wolf 2012,” which was the first song written for it. In those four years, the band has honed its incredible live set around the northeast.

Choke Puppy (Reunion)

Choke Puppy was a CT/Boston based Punk/Ska/Hardcore hybrid featuring future members of CT’s own Bloodshot Hooligans, and was a dominant force in the Northeast scene in the mid 90’s, including performances on the 1998 Warped Tour, and an album on Elevator Music.
