With a voice that can be soft and sultry, or full of a loud southern soul, the music Sam Burchfield performs is full of passion. This passion has led him to Athens, where he will continue to develop his live sound while pursuing the recording of his first real album.
Jason has high hopes for this Spring as his debut album will be released in March. After spending the better part of last year refining and perfecting his songs, he’s ready to show his fans that some things are worth waiting for.
Gridley teamed up with Nashville producer David Spencer (Elenowen, Blake Stratton) to make these six tracks come to life. Accompanied by musicians who play for artists such as Taylor Swift, Jars of Clay, and Drew Holcomb, the songs carry uplifting and catchy hooks that make it near impossible to keep your foot from tapping along. Drawing comparisons from the likes of Ben Rector, Jason Mraz, and Jack Johnson, Jason’s chill voice and pop grooves are sure to appeal to fans across generations.
Living up to the title of his album, Jason is no stranger to traveling. After earning a Music Busines Degree from Belmont University in Nashville, Jason spent two years in Colorado then moved to Athens, GA. Currently based in Georgia’s best music scene, this Georgia native is looking to make a scene of his own. “Wherever the Wind Blows” is a collection of six songs that capture Jason’s laid back and care-free approach to life and offers a pleasant escape from our fast-paced lives.
One thing is for sure; Wherever the wind blows this album, it is bound to flourish wherever it lands. create a sound that is sure to attract fans across generations.
