The 15th IndepenDisc / 1st Cygnus Radio Birthday Bash!

Join IndepenDisc on our 15th Birthday as we complete the transition from
Local CT-Friendly, Independent music promoters to "Internet Radio from CT
and beyond..." Cygnus Radio.
After a stand out performance at this year's Meriden Daffodil Festival,
which featured most of 2013's acclaimed release, Open Road, Hannah Fair
has been continuing to marvel audiences throughout New England with her
majestic vocals. She'll help us celebrate by joining fellow New Haveners,
Paper Hill Casket Company, who are set to release (11-05-13) Who You
Were, their follow-up album to 2012's debut, Undertow, which was named
the "2012 IndepenDisc of the Year." They'll be playing lots of new songs
as well as the songs that put them on everybody's list for Favorite of
2012. From Hartford comes Post-Modern Panic, hot on the heels of the
release of their debut album, "Lost in the Patterns." They're pumped to
play New Haven and show why they're one of the most talked about new
bands in the state.
Birthday Presents for the 1st fifty (or so) revelers.

Paper Hill Casket Company

Formed in the fall of 2011, Paper Hill Casket Company is an alternative Americana band from New Haven, Connecticut. The members of the six-piece group represent diverse musical backgrounds - including rock, bluegrass, and classical - and the band combines aspects of these genres into a unique sound that is sometimes melodic and lilting, sometimes driving and raucous. On October 20th, Paper Hill Casket Company released their debut album, Undertow, an 11-song record that deals with themes of desperation and renewal.

Post Modern Panic

Post-Modern Panic is a three piece rock band consisting of vocalist and bassist Rachel Adele, guitarist Karl Messerschmidt, and drummer Tim Bojanowski. Dark and moody or sardonic and bubbly, lyrically tart, and occasionally sweet, they call to mind Hole, Silversun Pickups, and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs.

Hannah Fair

Young Americana Singer/Songwriter, Hannah Fair, has a down- home, simple, and wholesome feel to her music. Hannah's eclectic music stylings and heartfelt lyrics bring her songs and stories to life. Like a misty vapor that mysteriously forms and hangs over clear, still water in the morning, the lyrics of Hannah Fair's music linger hauntingly in the mind while the sounds hover as gently in the air as a warm sea breeze long after the song is finished. Her music takes you to a new level of the experiences of youth—first love and first kiss, aching passion, heartache, and the need to leave the recognition of the familiar and experience new places and people. The music of this acoustic singer/songwriter is unpolished yet fresh, raw, and organic, shifting and changing as nature itself, prompting one blogger to write that "The songs are delivered with a confident, relaxed style that often gives them an immediacy that feels like she's writing the lyrics as she is singing them."

Hannah will bring you into the New England world she lives in, from the rolling hills and railroad tracks along the Blue Trail in Connecticut in "Fit Me", to the deep woods, lakes, and cold winters of Maine in her, "Lonesome for You." Two years ago Eric Lichter, the Dirt Floor Studios producer, upon first hearing Hannah said, "At the age of 16 this girl's songs and musicianship astonish me...". Since the recording of her first EP, Hannah has recorded a full length album consisting of 13 tracks that will release in December of 2012.
