3 Stories High
The idea was born in 2000 -- 3 Philadelphia-area singer/songwriters, Christine Moll, Kelly Ricketts, & Christine Havrilla, members of a musical mutual admiration society, decided to collaborate on a few songs. The result was a potent blend of voices, musicianship, songwriting and energy: 3 Stories High.
The addition of versatile Wilmington-based lead guitarist Rosann Mattei cemented the band’s sound. 3SH’s dynamic live shows soon led to appearances at venues, festivals, and benefits in the Northeast and beyond, including the Tin Angel, John & Peters, the Point, Bethlehem’s Musikfest, CB’s Gallery NYC, Atlanta Pride, Ralph Lauren’s Girls on the Move Tour, and many others. Support from Michaela Majoun & 88.5 WXPN contributed to the growth of 3SH’s substantial fan base.
Christine Moll’s departure in 2002 left a vocal gap, and the remaining members soon amicably parted a year later. Now, after 10 years and individual successful careers, 3 Stories High has reunited, bringing new as well as familiar material and renewed energy back to the stage!
Kelly Ricketts (acoustic guitar & vocals) Delaware Native, currently a member of the trio "Shutterdogs" is excited to rejoin the Talented Female group "3 stories high". Kelly has performed since she was 18 in the tri-state area as a solo singer/songwriter & has released 3 EPs (https://www.facebook.com/pages/Kelly-Ricketts/30029614815)
Christine Moll ( (drums & vocals) Philadelphia area singer-songwriter has released four albums since leaving the drums behind. Christine released “Losing Ourselves” and “Pretty Show” (produced by her brother Mark Moll). (http://www.christinemoll.com/) Performing for over eight years as one of the lead singers and guitarist for the band Lotus Hill, Christine released "A New Sun" (produced by Cliff Hillis) and "Shine" (produced by Grammy nominated Producer, David Ivory). (http://www.lotushillband.com/). When the opportunity came along to reunite the 3SH project, Christine welcomed the chance to get behind the drums again and to have the opportunity to collaborate with such talented musicians/vocalists, whom she also calls her friends.
Rosann Mattei (electric guitar) Wilmington-area lead guitarist, arranger and guitar teacher who’s worked with Mary Arden Collins, and as an ensemble (pit orchestra) player for numerous events, including Delaware’s annual Gridiron Dinner and Show for 8 years. As a guitar teacher, Rosann has also taught and mentored young and adult students for 10 years.
Christine Havrilla (bass & vocals) Award winning Philadelphia native musician plays bass & sings with this vocally-driven side project! Christine has released, as an aggressive guitar player & songwriter in her own 14 year career, 6 CDs, 3 EPs, A Collection (compilation), and is currently touring nationally under “Christine Havrilla & Gypsy Fuzz”. The latest album, “Searching. Finding. Living.”, was produced by Larry Crane at Jackpot! in Portland, OR. http://www.christinehavrilla.com/
