Three guys from Plymouth High Schools met as Sophomores in 1978. They shared a common love of music and soon started influencing each other in the music they were playing to as well as listening.
The band started playing the basements and parties in the Plymouth/Canton area. And became the soundtrack for many teenagers in the area. As they matured they began playing local bars. Although they have all stayed active in playing music in their lives they haven't played a show in many years.
The groups that made their musical backbone were classic rock groups like Robin Trower, Aerosmith, and The Police. But they really pumped their musical muscle with progressive rock groups like Jethro Tull, ELP, and none more so than Rush. Vocalist and bassist, Paul Daoust, soon started adding keyboards to the sound. Drummer, Mike Crilley, expanded his musical palette with electronic and acoustic percussion. Guitarist, Ralph Zimmerman, added more guitars and effects. So as a group, the band grew in styles and diversity of playing, while remaining true to their rock power trio heritage.
For one special night Cirrus returns to the stage to share their energy and talent once again! A remarkable night is sure to ensue.
Cirrus is a group that can pull off the great cover of a classic rock song, and a deep track rock song that you forgot you knew, or a knock-out original that ignites their crowd!
