Bully In The Hallway
We all grew up here in Chicago. People sing our songs at our shows, even the ones we haven't recorded yet. Two out of three sound guys think we rock. We love playing live, and bring a lot of energy to every performance. We don't have enough money to break our equipment during encores yet, but we are working on it.
We blend sounds from our main influences The Lawrence Arms, Spoon, Nirvana, The Rolling Stones, Beatles, Bear vs. Shark, and The Who to get an arousing, ear tantalizing, hip thrusting, pulsating, and catchy, yet addicting form of indie Rock.
Tony Rogers is a pop-rock singer/songwriter from Chicago, IL. For years, he toured the country with his band The Good, hailed by WXRT’s Richard Milne as “Masterful… I mean absolutely.” The soundtrack of Rogers’ musical, Pop Psychology, was named 2002 Album of the Year by Chicago Arts & Entertainment. He wrote and performed music to accompany Amy Krouse Rosenthal’s non-fiction best-seller, Encyclopedia of an Ordinary Life; the theme song to Jimmy Carrane’s Studio 312 interviews on National Public Radio; and also Alphabites, a series of stop-motion animation shorts still running on PBS Kids in Chicago.
His latest solo album, Sycamore is a sprawling work that spawned a popular 2-part YouTube video for the song “Call The Press.” His new single “Great” is featured in a national Purina commercial that has gone viral with millions of views.
