The Roxy Theatre presents
Rise The Ruler, The Cherry Wire, The Group Glare, Vanessa Dawn Rogers
9009 West Sunset Blvd.
West Hollywood, CA, 90069
If you like straight ahead 70's style hard rock with heavy drums, solid bass and screaming guitars then this is the band for you! Formed by Jamie Purpora (guitar, vocals), Jeremy Crowther (drums) and Roger Brown (bass) in Los Angeles in 1994. The idea? Go back to the blues to re learn the roots of rock and roll (which most of our contemporaries have missed). And then evolve back to the hard rock we loved growing up! Interstate Blues have released nine albums "Let It Go" (1996), "Interstate Blues" (1997), Velvet (1998), "Southern Lips" (2000), "White Lightning" (2003), "El Diablo" (2005), "Redemption" (2007), "Redux" (2009), "Red Was The Sky" (2010) and "Two Thousand Miles Away" (2013). With each release the songs and sound get more refined. Between 1994 and 2012 Interstate Blues have played over a hundred shows in the Los Angeles area. From The Whisky A Go Go to The Blue Saloon to The Mint to The 1650 Club to The Viper Room just to name a few….….

Birthing from the Fresno County, Rise the Ruler started by the vision of one family. Jonathan Bracamonte, Jared Vega, Jacob Vega, Neil Rodriguez, and Brandon Hirsch. Their vision is to use their talents to make a career in music and to inspire and edify this generation. By using their progressive/pop punk/alternative music and the power of Jesus Christ, to go above and beyond and reach new heights where they never thought possible.

Vanessa Dawn Rogers
Vanessa Dawn Rogers is an up and coming singer/songwriter who is taking Nashville by storm. She stays busy performing nightly on Broadway at either Tootsies, Rippy's, or Honky Tonk Central, doing both acoustic and full band shows. She also performs regularly at writers' nights around town at venues such as the Bluebird Cafe and the Commodore Grille.
Vanessa loves music that comes from the heart, and writes from that honest, vulnerable place that some people are too afraid to tap into on their own. Her music is an eclectic, unique fusion of country, rock, and bluegrass sounds, with influences such as Carrie Underwood, Miranda Lambert, Dolly Parton, Pat Benetar, Coldplay, and the SteelDrivers.
Vanessa began singing as a child in church, and learned to play guitar at the age of 15. Her life changed in October 2011 when she got hired as a house singer at Tootsies' World Famous Orchid Lounge, and decided to pursue her dreams with full steam ahead. Since that time, she has been writing non-stop and performing in Nashville on a nightly basis. Her number one goal in life is to be successful as an artist and as a songwriter, not because of fame or fortune, but because it is what she loves more than anything. She thanks God every day for the opportunity to do what she loves for a living, and can't wait to see what lies ahead on her journey. Vanessa is looking forward to playing in Florida, Washington, Colorado, and California before the end of this year, with her most notable booking at the prestigious Roxy Theatre on Sunset Blvd in Hollywood.
