Taking the dubstep scene by storm with his staggering studio output and electrifying live performances, there is no question BARE has clawed his way into the ranks of the bass music elite. The BARE sound is a product of deep roots in rock, west coast hip-hop (as part of the Vital Mindz collective) and aggressive drum 'n' bass (as past alias Reborn). These influences, combined with ultra crisp drum programming, slick melodies and mind altering bass modulation, spawn face melting dubstep anthems that practically rewind themselves. BARE's dedication to bass music was rewarded with the title of "Best New Dubstep Artist of 2010" by Beatport. Knowledge Magazine described BARE as "revolutionizing the sound of dubstep with his elegant and melodic structures, that will surely fool you once his dirty down-south-like grimey basslines get your body moving with sheer excitement." Across the pond, the BARE sound caught the attention of Virus Syndicate DJ/producer MRK1 – as a result, three BARE tracks (including the dancefloor annihilating "Like a G6" rework) were chosen to represent the VS crew in the BBC Radio One Dubstep Soundclash (leading the VS crew to declare themselves victorious).
Intense shows with incomprehensible energy, music with great supporters from big acts across the globe, as well as a likability and intimacy with fans and supporters around the world are what make everything "Ookay". With only six months' time of being in a fast-paced, competitive and growing industry, Ookay has established himself by other as "a leader" and being at the forefront of a rapid growing music genre.
With only six months creating music, Ookay has created an imprint of a growing sound within clubs and major festival. His first ever Beatport release with Ultra Records has charted very well on the electronica chart peaking at #10. With thousands of people supporting Ookay, there's no limit to where he may go. Already associating himself with names like Borgore, UZ, Flosstradamus, RL Grime, Mayhem, Craze and more, Ookay has gained mass popularity and a likability, not just personally, but musically as well.
Ookay was recently listed as one of Vibe Magazines top Trap / Moombahton artist to watch in 2013. With his recent release on the Buygore Allstars Album taking over dance floors across the world, Ookay is definitely an artist to keep your eye on in 2013 and many years to come.
Whether deck or dinner plate, Jesse Tittsworth's insatiable hunger questionably devours whatever is put in front of him. His food preferences veer past strange: his favorite meal is live octopus. His appetite was just as fierce in 2004, when the Chinese-American carnivore from Washington D.C. almost immediately leap-frogged from local favorite to international DJ headliner.
Once established as a DJ, Tittsworth immediately began to dig into his next course as a producer. With his remixes on Radio One and in influential Top 10 lists, soon the growl for original material couldn't be ignored; in 2008 his debut album 12 Steps on Plant Music was released to critical acclaim by Billboard, DJ Mag, and URB. More original material is bubbling in 2011 with the release of the 2 Strokes Raw EP (Plant Music).
Tittsworth as musician is one type of meat, Tittsworth as entrepreneur is another. In 2006 Tittsworth established his own label with DJ Ayres: T&A Records. In 2010 he became a co-owner of U Street Music Hall, a world-class night club with an ever-present line for sold-out shows. 2011 offered a new signature dish: the launch of Tittsworth.com, a first-look lifestyle site featuring music, food, tattoos, humor, and the macabre.
