Find Your Muse Open Mic
Find Your Muse Open Mic is Charlotte's premier open mic night. Each week we feature a special guest performer from around the region. Come out and see some of the area's best up & coming talent perform their latest original tunes. Always a fun time, hosted by the semi-hilarious Mr. Erik Button. Look forward to the start of a great Monday night at 7:30pm as you are greeted by the rest of our FYM team; Rip at the door, Don behind the bar serving up cold ones, and Pat making it all sound great from behind the board. Sign ups are at 7:45, so come out and get your time slot. Participate in The "Bad-Ass" of the Week, and maybe win a $20 giftcard.
Born in Baltimore and raised on the Chesapeake Bay, Amy was brought up on the sounds of Sinatra, Bonnie Raitt, country, and blues, but spent her years training for a career in musical theatre and classical performance.
After college, however, Amy realized that she wanted to feel a greater connection to her audience (the kind of connection that large, formal concert halls tend not to allow).
Setting out to perform original music, Amy began her journey to folk musician by cutting her teeth as the lead singer of a Baltimore folk trio.
After a few tours through the southeast, Amy determined that an auspicious career move would involve relocating to the south - home of the Great Smoky Mountains, boiled peanuts, country music, and the performing songwriter's beloved Eddie's Attic.
Since relocating to the Georgia, Amy has toured extensively, with recent travels to the Pacific Northwest, Alaska, and western Canada, with festivals and shows in big cities, and long-forgotten gold rush towns.
Amy resides in Decatur, GA - land of the falling sweetgum limbs.
