Stagnant Pools are Bryan and Douglass Enas, two brothers (21 and 22) from Bloomington, Indiana.
With just one guitar and a drum kit, they make music which the Chicago Reader describes as "drone-heavy, slate-gray art-rock that should appeal to fans of Disappears, Joy Division, and Sonic Youth records from back when they were still actually scary."
After a couple of DIY releases, the sibling duo spent one day in the studio recording their debut full-length Temporary Room.
With a tour van as a recent graduation present, and shows under their belt with EMA and labelmates Japandroids, they're releasing Temporary Room this summer and then hitting the road.
Conceived in 2008 by mutual friends and now the brainchild of Kansas City Native Joshua Allen. The band presents a bombastic, dark alternative progressive style. He draws from a wide array of influences such as, Radiohead, Blonde Redhead, Mike Patton, Iggy Pop and The Stooges, The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Led Zepplin, Yes, King Crimson, Can, Mahavishnu Orchestra, The Mars Volta Miles Davis, Mogwai, and Jimi Hendrix. Since 2009 Various Blonde hasopened for national acts, Russian Circles, Free Moral Agents, Zechs Marquise, Dead Meadow, Imaad Wasif, Jucifer,The Memorials, Thursday, Matt Pryor, Murder by Death, Fang Island, Bang Camaro, and Electric Sixx. They have been described in words such as "sonic devastation" and deliver a show all their own, cut with hints of improv, pop, rock, metal , soul , punk and jazz.
SUNDIVER is a Kansas City based rock band. The inception of the group came from song writing/singing duo John Agee (guitar) and Bobby Bayer (bass) with the motivation to create celestial soundscapes, science fiction story telling and hard driving guitar riffs. The group was quickly filled out by Nick Organ (Drums) and Joseph Wells (guitar/synthesizer.) SUNDIVER released it's first recording in the spring of 2012 titled "Vicious EP" recorded/engineered/mastered by Jeff Pickman at The Noise Arcade studios in Kansas City, MO.
In December 2013 SUNDIVER released the full length album "The Pull" with a coinciding tour of the midwest, southwest, and westcoast.
SUNDIVER has shared the stage with national acts including Finch, Fenix TX, Smoking Popes, The Ataris, and City of Ships.
