Infected Mushroom

Infected Mushroom

Psy-Trance innovators Infected Mushroom have become one of the biggest electronic bands on the planet. Twice ranked among the world’s 10 best DJs by the bible of the scene, the U.K.’s DJ Magazine, the Israel-bred, L.A. based duo bring a frenetic rock energy to the form. Their explosive show, featuring guitars, live drums, intensely passionate vocals and an ambitious multimedia backdrop, ranks among the genre’s most unpredictably joyous events. And their recordings continually venture where other electronic acts fear to tread.
Amit “Duvdev” Duvedevani and Erez Eisen have been working for nearly two years on an aggressive new album – their first since 2007’s critically acclaimed Vicious Delicious – for dance-music visionary Paul Oakenfold’s Perfecto label. Duvdev describes the as-yet untitled record, recorded at Infected Mushroom Laboratory in L.A. and slated for a June 2009 release, as a return to the pair’s metal roots. Guests include singer Jonathan Davis of Korn, who lends his estimable pipes to the track “Smashing the Opponent.”

Oakenfold has worked closely with the band in an A&R capacity. “Paul’s known as a House DJ, so we weren’t sure how he’d feel about our heaviest material,” Duvdev reveals, “but he loved it. He’s really brought a lot of great energy and advice to the table.”

From the Ultra Fest in Miami to the Virgin Festival in Baltimore, from Mexico’s OMIX to Cali’s Coachella, from Brazil’s Ipanema Beach to Melbourne’s Metro Club, Infected Mushroom has averaged about 120 live performances per year. The band will honor that tradition in 2009, starting with a 17-date U.S. tour slated to kick off in Texas in March.

Nekbreakers Ft. Onix El Nene

Nekbreakers – an eclectic EDM DJ/Producer duo comprised of two brothers, Gerardo and Angel Vazquez – have designed a sound that uniquely capitalizes on the synergistic effects of mixing traditional Latin rhythms with the electrifying synths and booming 808 bass lines from the EDM Trap Music genre. Following an underprivileged beginning in the streets of Michoacán, Mexico, the Vazquez brothers traveled north to California at a young age to attain a more rigorous education and better their prospects for the future. The older of the two brothers, Gerardo Vazquez, realized his musical inclination in 2006 and began a self-taught journey to master music theory and modern methods of guitar. Angel followed in his footsteps by learning the fundamentals of piano theory, and after attending Insomniac’s Electric Daisy Carnival in 2009, the brothers were awaken by the captivating festival sounds in the massive scene. Through trial and error, Gerardo Vazquez began producing Electro House in 2010. By 2012, the newly-formed Nekbreakers duo started experimenting in Moombahton production to incorporate their Mexican roots into their musical portfolio. Nebreakers’ fans were stunned by their uniquely fused Latin and electro dance original tracks, inspiring the group to test the waters in producing even more diverse originals from the EDM Trap Music orientation. Nekbreakers development across many genres of the EDM landscape has culminated in them morphing their own style of EDM Trap production that is defined by unique snare patterns, deep 808 kick drums, and Latin influenced rhythm and soul. Although the duo focuses on expressing their original Latin and Trap sounds in their records, Nekbreakers is not afraid to intermix mainstream top 40 segments with their Latin-spiced bass drops and idiosyncratic trap beats when performing for premier nightclubs, collaborating with other professionals, or remixing new tracks. Nekbreakers has magnetized audiences around the U.S. and progressively infiltrated venues on the West Coast – particularly in Santa Barbara and Los Angeles, CA and Las Vegas, NV. Nekbreaker’s banging trap has facilitated their collaboration with big names in the industry; while their unique stage presence and enamoring mixing styles have filled dances floors with EDM veterans, such as Infected Mushroom. Nekbreakers is currently working on originals for influential blogs’ Trap & Bass and MoombaBlasta, aiming to increase their fanbase and collection of records featured on blogs in their predominate music genres. With every new track, these flourishing Trap and Moombahton producers strive to continue breaking necks and reaching fans across North America, and eventually around the globe.
