Soul Khan

Soul Khan is a Brooklyn-based MC and member of the hip hop collective The Brown Bag Allstars. His distinctive baritone voice, lyricism, and personality take you on a journey in every song. Whether it's spitting about pop culture references or topics close to his heart, Soul Khan's dynamic knack for leaving an indelible imprint on your ears goes unchallenged.

From 2008 to 2010, Soul Khan quickly became one of the best battle rappers in the Grindtime, Smack URL, and King Of The Dot leagues. His battles have amassed a cumulative total of over 7 million views across YouTube. In 2010, Soul Khan retired from the battle scene to pursue music full time.

Since November 2010, Soul Khan has released a free album, Soul Like Khan and four EPs ("Acknowledgement," "Resolution," "Pursuance," & "Wellstone"). He has garnered features & mentions on media outlets such as MTV, MTV2,, Complex, Fader, AOL, DJ Booth, 2Dopeboyz, Gobal Grind,, The Source, XXL, & Okayplayer.

To date, Soul Khan has performed on at SXSW, the Warped Tour, CMJ Music Festival, A3C Hip Hop Festival, and Fun Fun Fun Festivals. It used to be that thousands of new fans discovered Soul Khan every day from his entertaining MC battles. Now fans are discovering him by the music he continues to create.
During the Fall of 2010, Soul Khan retired from the battle scene to focus on making music. He released a free digital album, Soul Like Khan in November 2010. The album was critically loved by sites such as 2Dopeboyz, Global Grind, Okayplayer and countless others. The album and its accompanying videos have gathered mentions from over 250 music blogs and websites. The album and its title track recently made it on the CMJ Hip Hop Charts where it remained for the month May 2011. The single currently sits in the Top 5 on both Rap Attack and Record Breakers college/DJ charts. His clip on MTV2's Sucker Freestyle has garnered one of the most views on their website.
